It is far less a stretch for a person to identify as a person of another race than it is to identify as a different gender. Could that child lobby to be recognized as black, or Hispanic , or Caucasian ??? Why it why not, since the person's feelings of belonging are the most important thing, right??

Yes. Since they feel race-locked.

I think it is fair to say that some people do believe they are the wrong race.

And sure they should be able to consider themselves whatever they want but that is besides the point that it shouldn't' matter what race they are.

I have come out and said you should just be civil especially in some other posts of transgender people, and i still by that.

However i also don't go around addressing people by their race all the time either.

A persons perception of race isnt determined by endogenous endocrine and neurological controls.

Taking this a step further, say a teenage girl says she was born into the wrong family, she is really of british royalty. Should she be addressed as a princess?

Yes. Instead of being a 4.5" Asian man with a 3 inch penis, he can say he is a 6.4" African American that is hung like a horse. Heck why do words mean anything anymore?
I guess this type of loose play with words is also acceptable on a job application or interview?

I am a space shuttle actually born in the body of a white man. You have to respect me as a space shuttle because it's my civil right.

Do you see how dumb this is? Trannies are bad news. They have my sympathy for being screwed in the head, but I'm not going to play make believe with them.

Race is biological in that it is indicative of basically a complex family tree, so while you can't change your biological history, there is certainly nothing wrong with a person identifying with a racial culture not usually associated with his biological race. Sounds like you're trying to make a shitty point, but you have started the perfect thread for Revelator and Malik Agar.

Race is something you are born with.

Sex is something you are born with.

Gender is something you are not.

If there were some sort of medical procedure that could be done to change a person's race I have no doubt that some in the medical community would establish evidence that being trans-race was a real affliction and insurance companies and even the taxpayer would be forced to pay for race change operations if the person were in prison and race-confused.

I am about as open minded as an individual from my background and upbringing can be but the whole transgender issue is just pure bull shite. Yes, science can change a persons sexual organs....and thus science had to establish a legitimate reason to do so...and so now we have arrived at the point where a convicted murdered is suing (and winning) for taxpayers to correct their "confusion" because it is cruel and unusual punishment to keep that person imprisoned in both jail and the body there were born into.

I have very little doubt that having a man's body but being a woman in your heart and mind is difficult. I wouldn't want to be in that position for all the money in the world....I also would not want to live with the sensation that everyone was out to get me or that I have monsters inside me or hearing voices in my head...some folks are just plain fricking insane, and if you are woman trapped in a man's body then you are crazier than a loon. If you have the means to get the treatment to correct your mental condition more power to you....but if you don't have the means to correct the idea that your really a unicorn and not a man then your fricked my friend....you ain't gonna make it...and don't ask the taxpayers to foot the bill for your unicorn conversion surgery....

For hiring purposes the Federal government allows applicants to claim the race with which they identify.

Race is just a social construct, anyway, so what difference does it make what race someone says they are.

For example, there is no such thing as the white race - at least before 1690 or so. It was developed as a way of differentiating between master class and servant class and originally, it only encompassed Englishmen. Irishmen weren't in it and neither were Southern Europeans, at first, anyway. Then, it kept expanding.

So, what does it mean to be "white"? Nothing really.

What does it mean to be "black"? Nothing.

These are just societal designations and constructs. There is no genetic difference at all between races. It is only physical appearance.

So, if we have special protections for races because we decided as a society that we were going to, then why can't people with same-sex attraction apply for those special protections as well? Their genetic case for being a special class is the same as those of different races, except for when it comes to race, society has defined people based on appearance and for homosexuals, they define themselves based on sexual attraction.

Tomato. Tomatoh. Both distinctions are false and ignore science, yet Progressives tout them as if they are Divine Law.

It is all a bunch of made up stuff that people use to either gain power over others as the master or to extract power from others as the subordinate.

We never, ever, ever should have made Africans into slaves. We undermined everything we tried to stand for when we did it and we have never recovered.

(And I say "we" because I am descended in part from Englishmen and my ancestors owned slaves. Really dumb move, historically - not to mention evil.)
