I was at this sketchy gas station in Monroe for some reason, and I was in line and this guy in front of me was telling me about how he is buying kratom and how he loves it. The sum it up, he made it sound like it was this plant material in capsules that you ate and made you feel good. Alright, well that's basically like what I'm doing with my psychiatric medication, taking stuff in capsules to make me feel good, I might as well try it, right? I mean, it is all-natural.

The thing about it is that the price is more than you'd expect. I tried to convey to the cashier that I wanted the most popular, best top quality stuff. She said she has two kinds, a bag containing 20 capsules named "Mojo" and a small packet contain 7 capsules called OPMS. I couldn't decided, so I decided to buy both.

Price of Mojo: $20
Price of OPMS: $30
Price of Skoal: $5
Price of drink: $2
Price of gas: $60
Total spent at the gas station on my card: ~$120ish. :O

Well, I got back in the truck and observed the products. I wanted to eat a bag then. Might as well, right? I couldn't decide which bag I wanted to eat so I just decided to eat both bags. $50 down my throat.

About 1hour and 50min. later (now), I feel like I've taken a mix of tramadol and buprenorphine but more subtle. It does seem to have a slight nod factor but you really have to chase it. 5/10, would buy again only if it was cheaper-- if it was the same price as dip or something, I'd need to stay away from it.

Anybody try this stuff too?

so you spent $50 on gas station pills because the guy in front of you told you they would "make you feel good"? And then got in your truck and downed 27 capsules of the stuff?

No I have not. But you have answered a question I have been asking for years.

They have drug tests for Kratom now, FWIW.

It's supposed to be a natural pain killer. The liquid stuff will give you the nods, but no itch.

You sound like a fiscally responsible adult. I bet you have a very diverse stock portfolio.

All Kratom is is a weak opiate. If you want the feeling of being high on opiates, get some opiates. At the prices you listed they'd be cheaper anyway.

Update: Feeling really good now, I decided to take some Xanax (alprazolam). I get prescribed #90 1mg. pills. Be proud, guys. I don't take them everyday now! (well, maybe 20 days out of the month) Instead, I save up some on days when I have the time alone, I will just take a bunch at once and just chill. I decided to take 5 pills so 5mg. It goes good with the Kratom, I must say.

You pretty much summed it up, it's like taking 1-2mgs of bupe. I guess a lot of people use it for opiod withdrawals but I think that would get pricey. It would probably provide a nice buzz for people who rarely use opiods though.

I used to do kratom rather frequently.

Decent drug.

In small doses, it usually produces a somewhat speedy effect, and a mild opiate like effect in larger doses.

I built up a hell of a tolerance rather quickly, and it never got me to where I really wanted to be, so I don't frick with it anymore.

I've bought it, but not from a gas station. I ordered it online. Tastes horrible and it takes a lot to feel the effects. It's okay, but not worth the effort.

I've had kratom bought off the internet.

I thought it was a herbal pill that mimics weed. That's what a buddy an I tried last year.

Certainly doesn't replace real bud worth a damn...
