have to disagree with you there. LF saved miles butt this year.
all the eggs were in the LF basket so to speak
had he chosen bama, well... let's just say it would have set LSU back in recruiting.

You're as suspect as it gets. Buga da greatest athlete to come to LSU.

Ill be happy if LF is as good as jeremy hill

Which players signed with LSU because they wanted to be on the same team as Shepard? I'm not hearing that buzz with LF.

Paris handled the recruitment this season and helped LSU land the best natural safety in this class IMO.

Shep wasn't even the most hyped player in our class that year... LF is the most hyped player in everyone's class for a lot of years...

This Dylan Moses kid is gonna be pretty good, but since he is already committed to LSU as a high school freshman he won't have nearly the hype because there's no suspense. Haven't seen this much hype from a HS freshman since LF7, and we are lucky he bleeds purple and gold.

Dylan is going to be great for LSU. He's the top player for '17 (as of now, that's a long time for things to change) and he's already recruiting top talent for us. I wish LF would have done this. DM will have 4 years to recruit while being one of the best players in the class... LF could have don't this but can't hate on him for his decision.

. "LSU would be just fine with or without Fournette. "
You are right as long as we have Miles, but I gotta think LSU has a much better chance to be more "fine" with Fournette as opposed to being without him.
The top HS RB in the nation has got to make any team better.

Fournette's commitment rivals Faulk's in importance. He has a chance to be the greatest LSU player of all time. I'd say his commitment is at least as anticipated as Faulk if not even further back

You obviously not a Tiger fan. Maybe you should back away from the keyboard.

Les' days are only numbered though his contract and winning percentage. That only leaves his contract. Therefore, he's here and will win a shite ton of games for a very long time . I can't bring myself to understand the blame Les mentality. I was at the bash last year when he said he didn't sign a running back because he had one in mind out of Nola. Obviously it worked. But I guess it looks different from TD2

There have been a lot of very good backs over the last 50 years, but I personally think that LF will be a cut above all the rest...maybe in the Earl Campbell category even...only time will tell...but I'm damn sure glad to have a player of his character as a Tiger!

I would say the excitement is on par with pp7 and early doucet.

This fan base was way more excited about the Mettsiah than RS.

After remaining committed to Texas up to signing day, Perrilloux faxed his commitment to Louisiana State to much pomp and circumstance. New LSU head coach Les Miles only had the job for a few weeks, and Perrilloux was considered the cornerstone of a relatively small recruiting class. Perrilloux held a news conference on signing day and proclaimed he would win the Heisman Trophy as a true freshman. A reporter asked him, "What about Jamarcus Russell?" Russell was the current LSU starting QB at the time. Perrilloux made the famous quip "Jamarcus Who?"

god this still pisses me off to this day, we wasted Russel Shepard...That kid was so damn talented, and yes he should have played QB over JJ

Shephard just didn't project to be a success in LSU's system. He should have gone to a school that ran a read option type spread offense. On the other hand, Fournette will remain in the position at which he excelled in high school; he is built for the type of offense LSU runs.
