1st ballot

He should be a unanimous first ballot selection. However, as we saw with Maddux some sportswriter will leave him off in an attempt to make a name for himself.

If not then the baseball HOF= rock and roll HOF.

Pedro, Griffey ,and Randy Johnson are first ballot locks, just like Maddux and Glavine were. The only question for me is whether Smoltz is going to get in on the first vote or if he'll have to wait 2-3 years.
Also, I don't see why it's obvious that Griffey juiced.

Goldennugget has one of these once a week
How terrible does your sense of humor have to be to believe this is a good as schtick?

Griffey was never grouped in with the steroid users, not sure why. I am sure he used at some point.
However, he was still the best overall player in the game for years. He should be a first ballot.

Obvious PED user, so he probably won't get in.

You don't get your name featured in one of the greatest video games ever and not make the HOF.
Also, Junior didn't juice. I refuse to believe he did.

Don't put anything past the BBSWA.
EDIT: I think Griffey should be in without a doubt.

the man hit 630 HRs and didn't act like a self serving a-hole to the media.
HOF 1st ballot lock.

Prettiest swing of all time.
I will never back down from that argument.
He was a stud from day 1. He wasn't linked with juicers because his production didn't show up overnight along with enlarged traps and biceps. Dude was slim, athletic, and killin it at age 18.
Had he stayed healthy, people would be saying he's the greatest baseball player of all time.
OP in this thread needs to slapped in the face.

The dude looked like he was swinging half speed and the ball would travel 500 ft.
His swing is an art form that should be studied by baseball players and fans until the end of time.
He's the GOAT in my mind even though his injuries stopped him from breaking every record known to man.

I think he is in the conversation even with the lost years.
He is on that level of players that were so good it almost comes down to small personal preferences when ranking them.
