why did his numbers fall this year?

Also, they have the wrong numbers on there because they prob got his stats from Maxprep.

Fournette rushed for 1,802 yards and 18 touchdowns, caught 42 passes for 745 yards and six touchdowns and totaled 3,697 all-purpose yards with 25 scores.

I am in my last semester of engineering (by the grace of god). If I can get through LSU's program anyone can. It's not about being smart it's about dedication and time and sacrifice.

The time factor is why I believe many athletes do not make the cut.

Appreciate the share. Great article.

Not sure why the comparisons of LF to Brandon Jacobs - two totally different types of backs.

The more I read and hear about Fournette, the more I like and respect him.

I hope he turns into LSU's version of Marcus Lattimore, without the injuries.

If the hype is real, he isn't slaving over an engineering degree to go make 70,000 a year.

Engineers are making a whole lot more than that coming out of school. I hire about 40 per year. I just interviewed one who has a summer internship for $45/hour, and the oil company is paying him an additional stipend for living expenses

It's not first round draft choice money, but if he has a career ending injury he'll be glad to have that kind of money waiting.

His lateral movement...it's against the laws of physics. Not only does he make the cuts effortlessly, he actually seems to accelerate as he's doing it.

Huge plus that he's a good guy and a class act.

LSU Engineering is not that hard. It is a cake walk

Sure.

But that plus football probably isn't.

What LSU football players have graduated with an engineering degree? In the last 25 years maybe? Would be curious about basketball and baseball as well.

You can go through football and engineering if you have no life outside football and school, b/c there is no way you will have time to do anything but school and football, at least if you want to do well in both.
And engineering is a 5 year program pretty much, at least the hard ones, unless you devote all of your time to school and take summer classes, then you can do it in 4 years. Yes there are exceptions, but not many finish in 4 years that have a life outside of school.
I've got 7 good friends that took 5 years at LSU, 3 ME's, 3 ChemE's and an EE. I was the exception and took longer b/c i hate school and i didnt' study or do homework like an idiot. We all had summer jobs. Had we been able to knock some early classes out in the summer, it might have helped.
Also, the way the flowcharts are now, if you drop a main engineering class, you're set back a year b/c they only offer them once a year.
