Wally Pontiff hit the longest HR I've ever seen in person against us. Ryan Theriot played against us also and hit the ball hard 5 times.

Trindon Holiday, Darry Beckwith, Glen "Big Baby" Davis in football, I battled him from middle to high school we had some epic battles him playing HB & I was playing MLB. I was the only kid on my team that & the guts to meet "Big Baby" in the hole lol Playing against Trindon was like trying to catch a fly on the field

Its a few others I played against as well.

Mike Anderson and Al Coffee. Anderson would still stand out in today's football...he was that good. Al had blistering speed.

Played against Eric Reid. We were so focused about Lacey that we never thought about Reid. I don't think he blew up until his senior though. I threw discus against Jordan Allen and Chase Clement. Those guys were huge. I sacked a Mikie Mahtook that dude was such a shite talker haha.

I played against Devery Henderson in 99. We won the game, but he had a long TD run and our defense said he was too fast. I ran against him in track in the 200, and he won every time. I am happy to say we won state in the 4x200 relay thou.

Toefield when he was at Independence,Was in the same distric as him for two years. He was a man amongst boys. If he didn't tear up his knee his senior year I honestly believe he would have been LSU's best RB all time. He still had power when he got to LSU, but didn't have quite the same burst. I know he still had some monster stats, but if you played against him you could see he wasn't quite the same. Also played against Norman lejuene and blue gay when they were at Brusly.

Outside of guys that played for LSU, I played against Reggie Torbor when he was at Lee, he then went to Auburn and then NY Giants. I actually saw stars when he hit me, knocked my helmet completely off.

How about this...... Cecil freakn Collins....... And we had a very very big fast D at Eunice High that year and he ran for 283 yards! Most were hard fought yards...... Beat us 35-7 with him alone. Kinda had us mind effed coming in though. His highlight tape was rediculous. I want to say we held him under 100 in the first half but the second was a diff story. The guy literally got stronger as the game went on. You had to hit him with 2 or 3 guys or you weren't tackling him period!

It sucked trying to tackle Cecil too...... He always hit the hole at full speed and he had the biggest freakn thighs I've ever seen with that much speed. We went 8-2 that year and lost to St Martinville in the playoffs. If you go back and look the late 90s 96 thru 99 was the best Eunice FB teams in that streak. 8-2, 10-0, 9-1, 7-3, and made it to the dome in 98 and 99 but lost to JC of course. With the playoff system now we would of won 2 championships 98,99. We had some great teams those years. speed and power. 96 was our biggest fastest team but we had some great compition also. I want to say Leesville won in 96 against JC?
