The defensive effort is inexcusable

No outside shooting, poor rebounding, poor effort, poor coaching. Did i miss something.
This is beyond suck.
I would clear the bench cause the starters have been terrible.

LSU should dominate the boards. Instead, they don't want it. Period.

Looks like this team will never wake up.

Is # 5 for Tenn even jumping to get rebounds?...

I agree, put the walkons in. If this is the effort you give, you don't deserve to be on the court.

This team looks about as well-coached as one of Trent Johnson's teams. It looks so bad I don't know where to start.
The first thing I usually look for in a team to judge whether they are well-coached or not is if they consistently and purposefully box-out on rebounds and not just try to rely on their length to get the rebound.
This team fails miserably on that count....no evidence whatsoever that they have been coached to box-out their opponent on rebounds.
Another thing I look at is if they play team defense, meaning they help out and the offside players sag to the ball enough to cover when a player gets beat to the basket - which happens too often to this team because (#3) they run at their opponent when the ball is thrown to them and go for the ball fake the majority of the time therefore getting beat to the basket which causes problems and fouls for the other players.
On that note I haven't seen a team that leaves their feet more than this team. They're easily fooled by a ball fake or a shot fake and are really quick to leave their feet. It blows my mind that a player can make it to this level who so easily is fooled as such. I guess measurables are everything these days.
And finally they don't regularly all hustle back on defense. It's rather sickening.

Unless a coach is added to the staff who is a real X & O guru, expect LSU to only be as good as the point guards they recruit.

I hope Martin gets in better shape next year. He looks over weight and sluggish. Needs to trim up that baby fat

something must be wrong with team dynamics. Was there a fight that divided the team?
Players not trying, not hustling, little or no effort to get rebounds.
