My nephew shot a doe this afternoon that was tagged. Only have one pic he sent, ill update the info when he gets it. Heres a crappy cell phone pic to hold you over.
You can barely see the yellow tag in her ear.

Hmm. Never heard of that outside of high fence.
Unless the deer was rescued at one point or something.

We have some leases that have reported seeing them, but they passed on shooting them thinking they were breeder does and they may be spreading superior genetics

I shot one about 20 years ago in Marion County WMA in Columbia, MS. They tagged them back then to monitor the herd. It was a 6 pt buck with a blue tag in the ear. Have no idea if they still do this or not.

I'm pretty sure Micheal Waddell shot one on a low fence place one time.

Shot two does just south of Clinton in the mid 90's w'yellow tags. Supposedly Dave Moreland was doing research from Idlewild.

I had a camp for 20 years in Ruth. 1100 acres. Lost the lease due to logging. Turkey, Deer, and Wood Ducks everywhere. Over ran with turkeys. Bogue Chitto river ran through the property. Also had a nice population of wood cock and bob whites. Loved that lease. Will never own anything like it again, damn shame.
We leased the land from a little old lady named Martha that owns literally half the land if not more in that town.

They tagged some deer on Tensas Refuge this year for tracking purposes. I heard they tagged 20 bucks and if u kill one they want u to call it in so they can document it and give u the history on its travel.

They lease from fella named Johnny.
