I would love a 16 game playoff. At ?the end of the year the top 16 teams duke it out to see who is the best team in the nation. Then you could eliminate the bowl games. Other than that no, I actually like watching bowl season

No. I like watching football.. I don't understand why yall hate sports so much.

I wouldn't mind seeing three 12 team playoff brackets. One playing for a gold trophy, the other for a silver, and another for a bronze. This way, every conference winner, even the smaller ones get a chance to upset big name teams.

This. The same people bitching about too many bowl games will be here in July bitching that they wish any football at all was on. What else is going on during week nights between Christmas and New Years?

seemingly little interest in most bowls, is it time to just cut bait and focus on the playoff completely? A
i believe that's what's gonna happen. people would rather sit on their arse and watch tv than go and be a part of the action anyway. most teams will just be cut out of post action.

the bowls are like nfl preseason, but without the anticipation of the coming season.

Less football is never good.

I'm talking January Madness. The more the better.

Somebody is making money on every one of them. Not sure who, but somebody.

More football games the better as far as I'm concerned. I know there aren't many asses in the seats a lot of games, but I would think enough people make money to justify.

They are nothing like a preseason game. Preseason is nothing but a practice, starters play the full games in bowls.

Absolutely not. Bowl games mean a lot to some schools, and I'm pumped for South Alabama to make it to one!

This.
I don't see why people get all pissy about afternoon football on a Monday. It's like they're pissed that they'd have to change the channel to one of the other 37 ESPN networks to watch talking heads ramble on about the same thing in different 30 minute formats. Bitching about more football is no different to me than the whiny woman at the bar that complains that all the tv's are playing sports.

I will never understand why people want to get rid of bowl games.

Not a bad idea.
