So I'm thinking about buying my dad a good pair of insulated Lacrosse boots for Christmas.
But here's the kicker.
I really don't know the difference between all the insulation options.
He hunts south Louisiana and Copiah County, Mississippi.
Lowest likely temp he'll encounter is in the low 20s
what do yall suggest?

Skip the Lacrosse and go with Muck. I've had both and the Mucks are wayyyy more comfortable. Your pops will appreciate it.

Cannot go wrong with a pair of Mucks.
I wear regular crew socks with mine even when it's "cold" and my feet are never cold.

I wear Lacross AlphaBurly.
The rubber coated neoprene boots seem to last longer than the plain rubber. IMHO

There best insulated boots are good to about 40F weather for a few hours sitting on a deer stand. After that, cold feet sets in. Now walking around, they are good to about 35F all day.

I use the Muck Woody Max with Wigwam cold weather wool socks for similar conditions, haven't had cold feet yet while on the stand. Easy to walk in, too. Don't usually traipse thru any crazy mud with them, think Lacrosse is better for that.

Those Burly's with the reinforced chins are sweet. No as tight as the ankle fit green rubbers so they bleed a little.

The first thing I'll teach you is not to say "learn me."

I also spray my feet with an unscented anti-perspirant. Feet sweating means cold feet. Works for me!
