I think ensminger is a good coach, has been OC in 3 major conferences and has a lot of experience. Not a great recruiter but idk what else you would get out of a TE coach

I agree with your take on Studs, but this is just ridiculous. The one consistently underwhelming part of this team for the past 4 or 5 years has been the TE play. It has consistently been mediocre to bad since he got here.

Outside of 2011, the TE's have caught fewer and fewer balls each year:

2007: 36 (Pre-Ensminger)
2008: 32 (Pre-Ensminger)
2009: 28 (Pre-Ensminger)

2010: 24
2011: 28
2012: 16
2013: 12

There is an issue here.

Guy also mentioned brick may be in trouble, doubt it though, he is a chavis disciple & has been good over the 5 years.

I think, like Henry, an NFL offer for Brick is the concern. He's in no danger of being fired and has recently been given a bigger role in recruiting.

i think the is good right now, but i just think we need to change emsinger, stud, the jury is still out with coery raymond even though he's a great recruiter.

Not a good time to be changing Coaches. Maybe after Recruiting is over. The Coaches are tight with these Recruits!

I agree with stud and emnsinger. Loosing hootie and crob shows recruiting needs to be corrected in NLA

Is the issue the coaching of the TE's or the play philosophy to emphasize blocking for the run over pass catching?
Please share what inside information you have regarding the coaching strengths of the position coaches.
Thank you.

I wouldn't mind seeing rob sale as OL coach. Currently coaching OL at Mcneese.

Once Dickson left we didn't have a threat at tight end and Crowton tried to go spread with not many tight end sets.
That's not ensmingers fault nor is Jordan Jefferson or Jarrett lee being bad quarterbacks or the stud era of only throwing to wide receivers which was rare. This season.....come on, you'd rather Dickson over Odell & Jarvis getting passes thrown their way?

I guessed that Stud or Coach K was going to get a drop in pay since they weren't OC any more but the statement from the Times has me thinking differently.

With the names mentioned, I have a feeling that it is probable that Studand Coach E are going to the office side due to Les' loyalty to his friends on the staff and Coach Henry might be going elsewhere. The departure ofthese three coaches in particular tells me that Coach Cam is bringing in a few ofhis own. Perhaps he is not impressed with those three or maybe he just has coaches in mind who he likes much more and knows from past programs.

Either way, I see this as a hint of Coach Cam bringing in a few of his guys and that is very good news. We all expected Cam to stay in Baton Rouge because of what we had heard when he was hired. It was said that he had no desire to run another program so I feel confident that he will retire here under Les since nobody is going to pull im away from Les' staff if he is doing well no matter how much money they might throw at him.

Like I said, this looks like a good hing to me. I wish Coach Henry all of the best in the future.

Also, although I liked Stud's character, I never liked him as a coach. His leaving the field is good news to me. I am not biased either way with Coach E but if Cam wants to bring in someone who he favors over him then that makes me feel better about the TEs in the future which is what I was hoping to be able to say.

I've said it over and over.....Kevin is not going to step away from his family enough to coach at LSU. Not now anyways.

So far, isn't every thing just speculation? Maybe we should hold some of our comments until after the changes. I have posted a few tings before about one of these coaches. As a matter of fact, I have been unhappy with him for a few years. But now I will just sit and wait and hope. That the right moves are made and new blood will energize an already much improved offense.

Jerry Rice, come on down.

We would get the top WR prospects every year. He is my favorite all time WR. His dad use to throw bricks at him to catch so it would teach him to give and have soft hands....I would get my dad to throw them to me in high school once I heard that story.... Where did his name come up?

it's an old joke based on a supposed inside rumor a couple of years ago that Rice would be named WR coach. Right up there with "LSU to the Rose Bowl"

I get the feeling that Mawae is the new Rice.
