10 times who we have coming back absent Ash - I sh*t you not. It's bad. Ash has a high likelihood of quitting football due to concussions.

I haven't seen anyone talk about the major payday for Sexton if Saban goes to Texas for big bucks...

I may ask him to negotiate my next commission plan.

Saban to Texas for 12 million/year. I'm calling it.

Ok Mike Tomlin is only the 3rd or 4th coach in the history of the Steelers, which is probley the most prestigeous franchise in the nfl. He won a championship and made it to another....... I think he 's staying put.

Him leaving to Texas would be pretty shocking.
Still can't see Saban leaving because of the remarks Mrs. Saban made to WSJ.
I dunno tho. We will see.

Without quoting the entire text from the OP, I also had a conversation with a long-term UT booster today & the similarities were striking. The short version is, Mack Brown will be shown respect for his tenure and managing to salvage a decent season after the terrible start & will voluntary step down at season's end. Many of the same coaches were mentioned with Saban to have first refusal with 8 million as the dollar figure. He said Brown is definitely stepping aside and if Saban cannot be convinced to accept that they had a list of alternative targets prioritized to work through. The source of the information is a middle aged professional and most definitely is in tune with the UT program but as always in this stuff, take it FWIW.

Afternoon hosts Erin Hogan and Bucky Godbolt today made fun of a story saying Saban-to-Texas was a done deal. They did not report that.

There are going to be a lot of disappointed people when Saban doesn't leave Bama. I think Texas fans will be about 3rd on the list.

Stupid question. Can they recruit?

I will also commit to help underwrite a new Texas coach's salary if that coach is Saban.

I bet Mike Tomlin could step in and be the best recruiter in CFB. Successful NFL pedigree and may be the most likable coach in NFL.
