Actually that's just a prediction. A fact is actually something that has happened.

what if one of these guys suffers a career-ending injury!!

Can someone tell me the last time a legitimate college player came back for their senior year and suffered a career ending injury the next year in college?

Atta boy, superfan. When you post something like that, how badly do you wanna be right? Is it more important for you to say "see, I told y'all," or for the team to win?

Such a flame. You do not get on sportscenter and attract the scouts by getting out of position. Dumbass. Also you would forgo a multimillion dollar contract for the glory of a championship. bullshite.

this a problem.. lsu brags about sending kids to the pros in 3 years instead of playing lsu football and winning titles..

kids get to lsu and all they are thinking about is the pros and the $$$$ they will make. they are not thinking about winning titles.. they are constantly out of position on defense trying to get on sportscenter and catch the eyes of scouts.

last year for example bama kicked ware, ford, reid, mingo, sam, logan, minter and simons arse in the title game then broke their heart the next season in tiger stadium dont know about you guys, but i would have come back to finish what was started glory and pride of winning a national title at lsu trumps any nfl contract.

stop feeding the 3 and gone bs to these recuits its lsu football the pros will still be there. if lsu would have went 14-0 this year with all those jrs back all of them would have been selected no later than the 3rd round in next years draft.

and if they happen to suffer an injury that would lose them millions or injury that would end their career, would you agree to repay them the millions that they would have received out of your own pocket? No. You'd forget them after they leave and be yelling at the next dude to forego millions to stay so you can have even more enjoyable entertainment.

Why don't regular people understand that football is these guys' major and whatever degree or knowledge they get is there minor? It is no different than you going to school for engineering or being a lawyer or management etc, etc. A first round pick will make more money in four years now (actually less than before), than the average joe with a college degree will in a lifetime.

Our recent 1st rounders (since the rookie scale)

Patrick Peterson -- Rd1 pick 5/// 18.42 mill (fully guaranteed), bonus 11.9 mill

Morris Claiborne -- Rd1 pick 6/// 16.26 mill (fully guaranteed), bonus 10.26 mill

Michael Brockers -- Rd1 pick 14/// 9.52 mill (fully guaranteed), bonus 5.36 mill

Barkevious Mingo -- Rd1 pick 6/// 16.34 mill (fully guaranteed), bonus 10.26 mill

Eric Reid -- Rd1 pick 18/// 8.48 mill (fully guaranteed), bonus 4.54 mill

Sure he would. He obviously loves LSU...didn't you read his post, and how much support he offers the team?

I definitely agree with your post. People fail to realize that many of the players come from poor families that have dads that are non existent in the household. f you had a chance to receive millions of dollars and stay another year in college and risk a career ending injury, what path would you choose? To the OP, you have to be a stupid person to pass up millions and risk a career ending injury in college. I don't know about you, but my arse would immediately head for the pros. Be honest and think the route that you would choose if you came from a family that is just above or on the line of the level of poverty. The majority of our players aren't white middle class. Hell, I'm middle class and if I had the opportunity, I'd choose playing for the millions.

So we are recruiting ourselves out of national championships and we should recruit kids not looking to be professional football players ASAP.

Got it.

I don't think the OP is a real deep thinker.

Les (and Nick) aren't really that upset when these kids that are ready for the NFL leave. They take the macro view. This is a great sales pitch to the next wave of recruits. Les loves to tell kids, "come be an LSU Tiger. You've got the talent to get to the NFL just like players X,Y & Z have for us the last few years."

Here we go. Saban players sign up at bama to win titles then go pro. Miles players sign up at LSU to go pro in 3 years doesn't matter if they win a title because there is millions waiting on them in the nfl. Ask sam how's that working out for him?

You say you would but you probably grew up an LSU tiger. Most of these kids did not. Their dreams are to play ball at the NFL level. It's not your business or anyone else's what these kids do with their lives. Stop living vicariously through 18-20 kids and just enjoy LSU. If they go to the league and flame out oh well, it's their choice. Stop trying to fool yourself and think that a national title at LSU means more to these guys than a 6/7 figure contracts. I know that may hurt your poor heart but that's reality bud. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Logan, Minter, Mingo, Montgomery, and Ford were all 4th year players.

Ok then, lets try this recruiting strategy,

"come to LSU where you can play for four years and if you dont get hurt, you can maybe get drafted"

yes, that should do it.

I swear, you idiots will complain about everyfrickingthing
