Or should I rent it or wait to see it on HBO?
I wanted to see it in the theater, never got around to it.

Worth the rent, not worth the buy IMO.

maybe, but probably only if you're a Superman geek (no offense), and really, the suit is a little off for those guys.
If DC can finally string a few of their heroes together into a run like Marvel has done, then MOS becomes more worthwhile as a repeat watch.

Did not suck. Imo it is the best Superman movie. But superman is far from my favorite superhero.
He is basically a God with only one weakness and that is how he is treated in this movie. The battles between SM, Zod and the kryptonions are epic destruction, the way it should be. FX are excellent and at least it wasn't another Led Luthor land grab. Still, it is Superman. I bought it and will watch again...when the mood strikes.
9/10 for a Superman movie.
7/10 for a popcorn flick.
ETA: at no point is Clark Kent a bumbling fool. Always hated that about the Reeves movies.

It's flawed, but it's certainly better than any of the marvel movies that everyone her loved

It's definitely worth the buy. It's the Superman movie we've been literally waiting decades for.
It had a good to ok first half, second half was epic just on the fact that Superman was actually fighting people that challenged him.
I absolutely loved Krypton in this movie. I wish they would do a prequel set on Krypton with Jor-El and Lara as the main characters and them having conflict with the council or General Zod. The book, last days of krypton has great source material for such a movie.

I saw it in the theatre and I enjoyed it but now that it's out on dvd, I'm not certain I want to buy it.
It's really long. That's the biggest issue I have with it.
It's not a crappy movie IMO..... just really long and a little too much CGI stuff.

It's worth a dollar out of the Red Box, but not worth owning.

I honestly don't get the hate for this movie. I had a couple of beefs revolving around his Earth dad and the ending but overall I enjoyed the film.
The effects were nice. Massive destruction. Krypton was interesting. Nobody plays unhinged remotely as good as Michael Shannon.

NOpe there is about 40 mins straight of just cgi that i could barely tell what was going on b/c superman and whomeever he was entangled with were traveling at mach 100.

Just Redbox it. It fricking sucks honestly. It's the antithesis to "Superman Returns", but in a bad way.

Just finished watching and enjoyed it, but there were definitely some mind-boggling decisions made in regards to the plot.
