In the beginning when Les first got here and LSU played awesome D and just good enough offense. I took losses hard borderline alcohol poisoning loss to auburn 2006, delirium in the loss to kentucky 2007, cussing out dogs in the near loss to tennessee 2008, and tearing up my chandelier in the loss to ole miss 2009. Now when LSU commits the drive killing offsides penalty, or commits a turnover when in position to put away the competition or Benches its best offensive player so the other team has a chance to come back and claim victory(clemson). I just take the loss and move on....I must thank LES for calming me down. My wife, kids and dog aren't as fearful of me on Saturday Nights anymore. Thank you, Les.

How'd you react to an L to UAB? The play of Josh Booty? Marcus Randall/ JaMarcus QB situation in 2004? Just curious.

I'm beginning to get that way. After all it's just a game

I mellowed in 2008 and lost the emotional stake by the time Ole Miss came in to town and won.
I did, however relapse after this year's Ole Miss loss. I completely lost it. Worse than I did as a teenager.

My most violent outburst as an LSU fan. Complete and utter meltdown. Fortunately I have mellowed a lot since this.

I mellowed during 2008. The FL game specifically. It's been pretty great actually.

I don't break stuff but the one time I really lost it was (sorry to bring this up and I'm not trying to turn this into one of those threads) on 1/9.
I was so ticked off. I remember watching it with my dad and just looking at him and I simply said, "We looked like hammered sh*t."
And I never talk like that around my dad. I just don't like to.
I was so mad. But I've come close to losing it. Dad lost it last year at the Bama game in that last minute. I had left early (I know, I know) but I took my cousin to her first LSU game and she got so wasted that she was about passed out at halftime. There was no way I could get her back to the truck if she did pass out without making a scene so I had her walk back, the best she could. No pics!
Mom and dad were still watching the game at our tailgate and that last minute, dad almost tore down the tent. "S.O.B. F***, piss, grrrrr, etc."
The next day he apologized for the language.

Took me awhile, but I've reached that point this year.

I hear you. Les Miles has killed my 30 year old hard-on for LSU football too.

You obviously haven't been around long. For your mental health, I suggest you pull for whoever is winning.

1/9/2012 mellowed me out considerably. I never got out of control like the original poster but I would be in a pretty foul mood. 1/9/2012 happened and I resolved myself to the fact that if Les Miles can't win a NC with the talent on that team then it just isn't going to happen. There is no reason to get wound up about it. Now I just kind of sit back and watch other people have their own similar epiphanies regarding Miles and laugh about it.

The fact you have a wife and kids and they used to get "fearful" of you just a game where you're not a coach or A.D., well...glad you finally matured, grew up, and realize what's really important in life.

this thread is loaded with full blown retardation

Lsu didn't even play UT in 08

100% agree
I learned not to invest so much emotion and energy with Les Miles as the coach...my nerves are much more calmer now
