Speaking with ESPN on Wednesday, the second-year Washington signal-caller said that he will try to draw late-hit penalties on defensive players by using their instincts and the NFL rules to his advantage. In particular, he will step out of bounds when he sees a defender charging and suspects that guy isn't going to slow up.

"There will be situations, and that's why guys don't want to pull up," he told ESPN. "It's happened in the past with Mike Vick or someone like that who has run to the sidelines, stopped and then gotten 20 more yards because the guy runs out of bounds trying not to hit the quarterback."

You would think this guy wouldn't want to show his hand to all 31 teams in the league

you hit him, he steps out - you pull up, he darts... knowing that doesnt change anything.

but be sure the refs took note and he might not get that borderline call as quick this weekend.

I like RG3, but this kinda pisses me off. He shouldn't be this open about baiting secondary players, they may start going for his knees.

Refs need to understand the difference from him vs Tom Brady.

Brady runs to the sideline, he doesn't have potential to turn upfield. So a hit on him should be a penalty. Rg3 and the like can't be considered out of bounds until they are, and need to be on the same level as a RB because they essentially have become one when they cross scrimmage.

Well the defenders should give him EXACTLY what he wants.

Hit him.

Hit him hard.

Hit him often.

His tune will change.

RG3 needs to worry about completing passes.
