No, you are right... Eye test. Just clarifying is all.

Alabama currently has on it's resume a road win against a team currently ranked #7 in the AP and a neutral site win over a team currently ranked #19 in the AP.
The comment that they are starting to hit their stride probably has to do with their schedule being incredibly weak this month, not their first two games of the season

I agree, but South Carolina over UGA. One loss SEC teams are better than most of the NFL.

No doubt. I tried to join the circle jerk on the Alabama board about gaining 600+ yards against the #102 ranked defense in the country, but I don't have access to that board.
Congrats. You had 600 yards vs. Kentucky.

Other than JM, no team in the SEC has lit up a good defense then.

I'm OK with saying that.

1. SEC Champion
2. PAC 12 Champion
The teams for 3 and 4 should be the highest computer scored teams from the pool of ACC Champion, Big 12 Champion, Big 10 Champion, and Big East Champion. I expect it to be
3. ACC Champion
4. Big 10 Champion
I would be fine with that and be excited to what the playoff.
My predictions for this fair format
1. LSU/Oregon
2. Oregon/LSU
3. Ohio State
4. Clemson

BCS final rankings heading into the bowls usually had the top 4 dead-on.
Agree completely. Should just keep the BCS formula (polls and computers) and take the top 4. The competing bias of hundreds of data points (votes and computers) actually cancels out a lot of the sum total bias.
Using only 15 data points (the selection committee) is going to introduce more bias into the system than the BCS ever had.

I think most of us are in agreement that Alabama, Oregon, Clemson, and FSU are the top four right now. No one could really gripe about that except OSU fans, who wouldn't get a lot of national support given how legit the other four teams are.
