Denny's Review, Vets and I-10

So I was craving country fried steak, and no where near my go to Cracker Barrel. Thought I would try out Dennys as I was driving by, hadnt been there since college. The decor was as expected and appeared pretty clean, unlike most of the other customers. The service was actually perfect- she was on top of my refill and brought hot sauce without me asking. Extremely nice to boot.
I got the country fried steak with two eggs over medium. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the toast was as well. It came with hashbrowns that was upsold with cheddar cheese. A little bland, but the texture was spot on. The country fried steak was prefrozen tasting, but I expected that. The gravy was creamy but again a little bland. Needed more pepper or something. Overall, the meal was a 7/10, maybe even an 8. It cost me 13 dollars with a drink, a little high for a diner. I also left a five dollar tip- tried to make up for her other tables. Keep in mind I wasn't expecting a five star restaurant, i was expecting dennys.

either that or it's a collapsed air bubble that developed after being dumped too quickly from the can

You shouldn't be drinking and driving

I've never been to a Denny's. Not because I have anything against it just never have.
Maybe on the way back Sunday from BR.

I want the hash browns minus the cheese on the extra crunchy side with the egg and a side of bacon.

There was actually a Denny's on the Westbank before Katrina that had a full 24/7 bar. It had to be the only one in the country like that -- maybe Vegas, I don't know.
Now, it's an IHOP, with no bar or any alcohol service.

Me neither. Those places always look like they house multiple strains of hepatitis.

Last time I went in a Denny's was after Katrina on evac to up north. Stopped in one in Connecticut and chowed down. It was good. Not as good as Cracker Barrel, but better than Waffle House. I guess about the same as IHOP.

Years ago, I had a class with a girl worked the desk at La Quinta. She said the staff calls it Denny's Inn.
