Not sure that Totti is only behind Zidane in many people's estimation because he rejected the highest profile clubs.

I think they're pretty close.
Zidane was a bit more awesome, Totti a bit more effective.
If Totti hadn't rejected all of Real Madrid's attempts to buy him, I have a feeling the majority of people would include Totti in any list Zidane is on.
Totti is ridiculously underrated historically outside of a handful of football writers.

Saying he's level or "more effective" than Zidane I can't quite get on board with and I'm a big Totti fan.
