Plan on checking it out this weekend. Comparisons to 2001 cause trepidation - I found it to be um, boring as hell. I believe Clarke's Childhood's End to be a much more interesting and engaging story. Don't want another Prometheus either, great to look at, but wtf to plot. Yea I know, nitpicking before even seeing it - thanks to all for their input and thoughts.

Childhoods End is an amazing book. The first part of District 9 is basically that.

Man of steel was head and shoulders better. At least I gave a shite about the characters in there. This movie is on Iron Man's level.
Most people who aren't full of themselves know this was an above average movie and nothing more. Ruff ruff ruff ruff ruff awooooooo! Top notch dialogue there.

You're delusional. No one on this board has ever watched a movie solely because you've praised it. In this thread alone in one hour, I've gotten at least 2 posters more excited to see it or in the theater itself. I have posted in dozens and dozens of threads, and tons of posters have taken my recommendations and thanked me for it solely because I tend to have good taste and they trust me on it. I typically take at least one posters a week because I trust them and their tastes as well.

It's not that you have terrible taste, it's just you are a fricking count to basically everyone on this site. Whenever you show up in a thread, it's a collective consensus and trend that the thread completely goes down the shitter, since you always resort to name calling any poster that disagrees with you.
I can only imagine how angry and lonely of a person you must be in real life, and I hope to god you are 16 instead of in your 30s as you claim. You honestly should do some serious reflection on why you are such a despised piece of shite and really change yourself. With therapy, you may be able to change the direction your life is heading in and actually make a friend for once and maybe even get a girlfriend. Whenever you get banned again (which shouldn't be long), do us and yourself a favor and don't come back. This site is poison for you, and you are poison for this site. Even if your opinion is valid, and you were spot on in an assessment, you've already stained your ability to give it. No one can take what you say about this seriously.
