Does Mett remind you of any other LSU QB from the past?

The more I watch this guy the more he reminds me of another LSU QB (from the 70's) - Steve Ensminger. Both are tall w great pocket presence and ability to throw the deep pass as well as anyone. Steve would run you over when he took off running but neither were fleet afoot. Just an observation. I often wonder how much influence Big "E" has on Mett on daily basis during practices. I know our new offensive coordinator gets the most credit as he probably should as well. Looks like the stars are aligned in 2013 for another memorable football season!

Reminds me a bit of Elvis Grbac.

He reminds me of Dan Marino and Tom Brady, and maybe just a smidge of pre-prison Michael Vick.

Ensminger was terrible. Mett is much better.

He's not nearly on the same level but he's playing exactly the way Tom Brady does. He's taking why the defense give him (slants/bubble screens), not forcing anything and making them pay when the creep up. It's the product of excellent coaching and Mett working his arse off in the offseason.
I want to clarify- in no way shape or form am I comparing Mett himself to Tom Brady, I'm just stating that his game looks to model after Brady's.

I think the comparisons to Joe Flacco were pretty spot on...
(not LSU but he really doesn't remind me of any LSU QB from the past)

Reminds me of Bert Jones, and Tommy Hodson before the departure of Wendell Davis. Hodson wasn't the same after Davis left. Davis made a lot of would be incomplete passes complete.

Why do people have to remind us of others. Why can't we just enjoy Mett for who he is.

Long completions remind me of Rohan Davey

Mett looks like a pro QB. It's almost like Cam cast a spell on him.

People saying Hodson are clueless I love tommy but he couldn't make half the throws Mett is making.. Mallet-Flacco much closer.

Hodson is the closest, but Mett is his own guy. I don't think his style of throwing, size, leadership and on-field presence compares really well with any former Tiger Qb ever.
Mett = Mett = strong LSU QB.

Hodson. Definitely Hodson, who at times was freaking great.

Bert Jones, both tall and big arms,, Mett even looks physically like him facially if you compare pictures!
