As per Dandy Don:
quote:

Anthony Jennings “should certainly have played a little bit more than one snap, we think.”
That's kind of odd.

not to anyone who's seen him play.

He needs a few redzone touches a game. I'd rather put him in on 1st down and let Mett have 3rd

He'll likely have the Ryan Perrilloux role.

Remember, 2007 BCS Champ year...Flynn got hurt and could not play the SEC CG. Thank GAWD RP was ready to go.

He could help solve some of the redzone issues.. He ability to move forces teams to respect all points of the field

I said in another thread that I hope he turns out like the FSU freshman.

They both have about the same size and style of play.

Which is why our offense stunk, and Cam is now onboard

I think Les means we should have had a bigger lead in the game and the less experienced guys like Jennings should have had more meaningful plays.

Odd? Bull shite! It's right on the money. If LSU has any remote aspirations of a national title in 2013 (nice going away present for BCS)it had better include Mr. Jennings attributes as QB (dual threat as they say).

The final trump card will be allowing him to THROW or run. Seems like every coach in America makes their dual threat run more than pass.

In closing if Mett could/would run when given the opportunity (and then fall down) he would be 1st team All-American. That's the only knock on the kid is that he can't run (IMHO). Like an old ball coach (basketball) once told me you can't teach quickness but you can teach anticipation - that makes you quicker. Appreciate that coach Mac. Geaux Tigers!

I'm quite sure all the JennSwag Jock Sniffers are in addition to wetting their panties with excitement.

I hadn't planned to attend this game, but I'm tempted to drive over now just to see the Swag dazzle us all.

Les sure does have a lot of you brainwashed into thinking a "dual threat qb" in the red zone is the only way to go. Last time I checked, Alabama has won 3 out of the last 4 national titles and they keep their starting quarterback in at all spots on the field. How many times did the Baltimore Ravens pull Joe Flacco in the red zone last year?

You don't HAVE to have a dual threat qb in the red zone if you keep the defense spread out and balanced on the run/pass threat of your offense. Bring in 3 tight ends and two backs and you might have problems moving the ball 8 yards in three plays.

We were very close to completing several td passes last week (non-pass interference calls and 1 drop). No need to completely change what we were doing. Just fine tune it and we will be fine.

Well this sucks. Mett looked fantastic the other night. This would be a mistake.

Yeah.

Let's trust Les to manage a 2-QB offense.

What could possibly go wrong?

I wouldn't bet on this in any contested games; only the rent-a-wins.
