I will be impressed when they actually start putting players in the NFL or when they win some National Championships.
Oregon = it is called over compensation

Or a smart plan to seperate yourself from other schools with long standing traditions, by adding new and unique trends to attract recurits you normally wouldn't get. It's working.

are you saying Oregon doesn't put players in the NFL ?

stuff like this is why players should get more compensation than a scholarship
While there are decent arguments in favor of players getting compensated, the opportunity to utilize the resources of, and spend most of your college time in, a $68 million facility is an argument against players being compensated.

This stuff is crazy nice.
The arms race in "amateur" athletics continues.

I don't know about "blows away", but you can certainly make the case that overall their facilities are significantly better than Bama's.

Not to mention Oregon's campus blows bama's away.
What do you base this off of? As an Ohio State fan, how many times have you been to Alabama's campus? I can't speak for Oregon's campus, but Alabama's campus has always been considered at least above average by most objective observers. Oregon's campus would have to incredibly nice to "blow away" Bama's campus.

Alabama's weight room is pretty boss.

Anyone who doesn't think this shite isn't working is crazy.
For those of us who live on the West Coast...and know how crappy Oregon was...forever...and ever...worst program ever with Oregon State...and Brooks brought them to "decent" and Belloti brought them to "respectable" - but Oregon has taken it to a whole other level once Uncle Phil started bankrolling the joint...
USC would have rolled even more last decade w/o Oregon stealing recruits with their newfound media success...
UW might have been great again...they're taking the hardest hit. UW used to get Cali leftovers from USC...now, Oregon gets the poaching and the poaching is good.
Northwest alone produces shite for talent by and large.

The 'arms race' should be over, IMO... there's only so much that can be gained by extravagant facilities... is the recruiting bump really that much better from the previous facilities?... certainly not 60 million dollars worth of a bump, I'm sure.
Does stuff like this make better football players?... definitely not... if anything, it makes them more pampered/spoiled. Things like state of the art weight room/training technology, dietary needs, etc. are important.... the dozens of TVs and recreational hot tubs are not.
Obviously Oregon can spend it's money however they want, it just seems like that money could be spent in a way that more directly benefits the product on the field.... or maybe not.

Oregon isn't spending any money , except the the bills to run it . Big Daddy Phil has a team that designs and build it and then he donates it when he's done

OK, Grandpa. If you think the players are skipping offseason workouts to lounge around, you're wrong.

of course not, but this whole idea that 'it works' is pretty debatable. Mike Bellotti had the best training facility when he was coaching, but UO was never this consistently good... Tennessee just built one of the nicest facilities in the country, but they're still terrible.
oregon has been good b/c their previous three coaches have been good and have been able to build onto each other (starting with brooks)... there's no doubt the nike money is huge, but that's selling the guys who've put in the work short, IMO.
There are dozens of programs around the country who spend just as much or more than UO and have nice facilities and they're not winning as consistently as the ducks have been lately.

It's really nice, but I'm not a fan of the whole modern look. I still like it, but I would have rathered a different look.
I do like the large windows they have everywhere. Makes everything look open and bright.

Here is a ton of super HD quality photos and there's a lot of the whole building including the outside. the outside is sick with the new turf and grass practice fields. the OP doesn't show the whole building at all just parts of it.

That's a facility to be proud of.
