Best fried chicken should be the Old Country Store in Lorman.

I've been to the Half Shell and I thought it sucked. Damn near all of these are in places I have no will to visit. Oh well.

Mugshots? Seriously? The donut shop in Natchez makes a better burger.

I like a bunch of those places, but I have a hard time believing they are the best of Mississippi.

I don't get this...went to Leatha's once while travelling after seeing on Food Network. No where CLOSE to the BBQ I had at The Shed

Walkers is nice enough, but wouldn't think of them as really fine dining. Their sister restaurant in Madison is much nicer.

Laughable. The Eat Jackson burger contest did it much better and I agree that the Baba burger and Table 100 are two of the best in the area.

Best Mexican Food: Oscar's Cantina
Hattiesburg

Never ate there, but the best authentic Mexican food has to be La Guadalupe; always fresh and excellent.

Best New Restaurant: The Rubba Boot Crawfish Co.
Starkville

This restaurant is owned by my buddy's sister. I'm glad to see they're doing well. When you bring Cajun food to the Landmass, good things are bound to happen.

Sakura Bana is a nice sushi joint. We hit it every chance we get.

Never had Big Mamma's tamales, but if they're better than Maria's Famous Hot Tamales in Greenville, they must be awesome.

Vines all-you-can-eat buffet in Centreville ('bout 5 miles north of the LA line on HW24) should be on there for some category.

Phoenicia Gourmet doesn't get any mention in the seafood category?! The Half Shell is good, but there are better places.

The Hook Up should've been on the best outdoor dining list.

Roux 61 is not mentioned, but laughing all the way to the bank.

Probably the hottest thing in Natchez.

The BBQ pick is a fricking joke. Abe's in clarksdale takes the cake, easily. Many others above what they picked...

I agree with most of the list...have to disagree with the mugshots recommendation, though...

also, I like the pizza shack better than soulshine...
