We think we can get back to that. Combine that with no debt, and we can do great things.
So your plan is to pay off all of the debt right off the bat?

100%. If we don't pay off the bank note....I'm out. That's the only way we as partners can give us some confidence it won't be back in the same place as now.

Ha man. It's worth it to me.

Like I said, never been to the Oaks, but glad someone is putting up a fight for a course that would be closed other wise.
Best of luck. And if you need a young assistant superintendent in a few years, I know a guy (it's me).

So why didn't you make this push for private membership a long time ago? Could the course closure have been prevented?

Another fair question.
With the ownership group that was in place, we couldn't raise the money to buy the debt out. Without doing that, public or private didnt matter.
Having a fresh start is really the best.

Well good luck I hope it works out. Sorry I was being a dick earlier, not sure why, just being an unnecessary a-hole

I wish I could help out. I would have had taken a hard look at doing this but i'm in the process of making a career move making a lot less money and I really cant make that commitment at this time.

Isn't there a little threeputter coming too?

I understand that this is to attract a different person than one looking at BRCC / CCL. Are these rates ($6k buy-in, $275 monthly) cheaper than UClub?

I'm trying to wrap my mind around someone paying 2.7 million for a golf course that needs a MAJOR substructure renovation.

Not for current golfers who paid membership dues for the Oaks before the closing.
The rates are are also better at the Island for the current members of the Oaks.
Lots of competing clubs for those players.

Snatch if I was in br u could have counted me in. I'm sure we could have worked a better price for me. Lol
