Just a thought but if some willing investor dropped 50-100k things would work much better. They would own most of the shares and have a major input on how things are run.

I'm curious to know what the bank would settle for

That could be their biggest help in reducing the required number of members or lowering the buyin

They would be losing out on $27,500+ a month then.

I have commitments for much more than that, but in my opinion that is not the preferred option. For this thing to work long term, I need 400 people to "buy in" and feel that sense of ownership you need. I feel that if your invested, your much more likely to stay long term and take care of the course.

I think a good settlement would be around 1.5 to 1.7mil.

If you have people offer to invest that much I would take it and run. You would be crazy not to if saving the club is the main focus.

Key point a big time millionaire in BR told me if you can't be a majority owner it's not worth investing.

That would obviously be a lot easier to overcome right off the bat

They won't need to get to 400 to get out of debt, but without that # of members, I guess they won't cash flow well based on snatch's projections

If I was spearheading this matter that would be the first thing I negotiated, if possible. Call the Bank and tell them if I can bring X by August 31, 2013, will you guys take it? If they are unwilling to play ball right now, get the commitments and send a final offer around that time and see what happens.

I would assume you guys have some counsel hired to do this. If not, hire someone pronto.

Hey BP the PDF of your plan in the email won't pull up, just wanted to let you know that. People that are trying to see your plan won't be able to see it.
