Struck out the first batter too, the first one he'd faced since the CWS in 2009. Welcome back to the field.

Great news about a good guy.
Hope he makes it to the show.

But but but the rant says his push off leg is made of jello... He'll never be ready in time.

We have a permanent tolerance for all Chad Jones stories until the end of time. Always a Tiger!

It really makes me happy every time I see a Chad Jones update.
Love that guy and am constantly amazed at his ability to compete at such a high level after suffering such a horrible injury.
Guy hadn't thrown a baseball in 3 years and just decides to get back on the mound and after a couple of months is throwing down pro players like he's back in Omaha. What a legendary and phenomenal athlete
Geaux Reds and Geaux Chad!!!

I am a big Chad Jones fan. i always though after that accident his future was in baseball. The Shows can always use a hard throwing lefty Middle Reliever.

I'm proud of him. Looking at how he described his outing and his short term goals, he seems to be in a really good place. Good for him.
