I heard Moscona saying he'd be interviewing Larson one day last week but missed it.
Did anyone hear?

Wonder what kind of hitter he would have been with the current bats

He's coaching high school baseball in Las Vegas. Said he's really wanting to get into coaching at the collegiate level.

He'd probably not be a SS. I don't remember a lot about his glove. I'd say he's a suitable 3B.
I'd give him #'s similar to Bregman's avg, and Katz's homerun totals. He was a beast and I really don't recall many of his homers being "cheap". I remember watching him hit 3 in the winn dixie showdown, and one off the fascia of the third deck.

With current bats and current drug testing I doubt his numbers are any where close to what they were.

For the short time that he made it the Majors, he played third with the Reds.

he likely had no advantage that anyone else playing at that time did.

Larson may be a bad example because he could put them out a good ways and would still have some homers in today's game. But it certainly made a difference for a lot of the other players. Many of those that would be having warning track power today would have been replaced with guys with more speed and better fielders. Again Larson isn't a good example because he made it to the majors.
