Saturday a 1 hour boat ride turned into 6 hours. Have twins and one wouldn't start. The only positives were the thunder storm that was on top of us dissipated and we got back right before dark.
What yall got?

Had the pleasure of fishing alongside Captain Troy Wetzel this past week. Or I should say with Troy Wetzel (he doesn't deserve the title 'Captain'), since he decided that his crew of at least 8 people not including himself and his deckhand would pull right next to our boat and essentially get close enough I could have exchange rodnreels at one point. To add to insult, when he first arrived instead of tying up to the other end of the rig on the down current side he decides to just drift right up to the back of the boat and does this for 20 minutes or so before anchoring to the rig. Then instead of having some boat edicate, which would have been to throw his motor into reverse and cut the wheel from keeping his tail end from swinging around he just lets his boat swing at times 5 feet from us. Well after coming in and catching either close too or his limit in snapper he has the nerve to tell me, 'I'll only be five more minutes.' I turned and faced the other way; he wasn't even worth acknowledging let alone arguing with. Not sure what people see in this guy. But he is a poor excuse for a Captain.

On Caney Lake and got caught in a hail storm. Close to golf ball size.

When I was about 12 years old I was fishing with my buddy Wayne at the park over by Greenwood in Baker. We were catching some fish too. An old guy walks up and asks if we had caught anything. Showed him our haul and he chats a few. He walks down about 150 feet away, hauls his dick out and beats it like it owes him money. He was between us and the road out so I couldn't flee accordingly.
/story. I fricking win the shite fishing thread. It's a true story

We chartered out of Destin once for inshore. The Captain ran by the marina on the way out to get ice and we found his best friend had hung himself from the dock. He helped cut him down, waited until the cops got there and then didn't want to cancel the trip. He said, "He made his choice. Let's go fishing." It was a weird trip, but we caught the shite out of specks and reds that day. He let us fish until we ran out of bait and we wound up being out there for about 10 hrs. We've fished with him for years since then.

Hit a submerged boat of some kind in big lake. Thrown up in the air. landed on gunwale, then fell off the side. Saw prop coming toward me. Friend turned motor. Lost wallet. Motor would not run after than. Sat in the dead still water for a few hours before getting a tow.

Don't even know where to start.
Tarpon Rodeo last year comes to mind. That was a hell of a storm that came through that Friday afternoon.

I got thrown overboard a few years ago in a very busy channel outside St. Pete. Thank goodness the boats behind us were alert otherwise I'd of been ran over by a boat or two..

most likely our first college fishing match
Galveston bay
30 degrees
20 mph north winds(you can imagine the whitecaps)
in a fricking kayak
caught 1 fish between 3 people. lost 2 fish that would have won us the match

FLW Kingfish tourney out of Coco marina '06 or '07, it happened to fall on same weekend at GITR so I was setting up to be bad anyway. Lock keys in truck, go to jimmy lock break the deal inside door. But we get on fish. Friday we run out and a mean storm blows up, boats hailing CG around fourchon, some went down. Anyway we get to our spot and immediately begin to catch fish and as the weather continues to deteriorate we decide to kill one. Stick the fish and drop it on deck and toss Doc a tampon to stop up hole. I turn around to get another line out and he goes to whack it with mallet to subdue it and it jumps up and hits him. All the skin on top of middle finger from hand to nail is shredded, the two adjacent in slightly better shape. Blood everywhere I paint it with a few bottles of dermabond and get the bleeding stopped. He insists on fishing so the old guy who drives us, is now helping me on back deck. Take a wave to the side he slips catches cleat with forearm. All his says is "Oh shite, we'll never get this stopped"! I turn and it looks like he's got his hand over a hose of blood. I ask if he's on Coumadin he replies yes and then rattles off 4 or 5 more meds. Long story short, I got one lashed off to t-top, the other wrapped up in bag. I get on stage and guy looks at me covered in blood and says "man looks like you guys had an awesome day, tell me about it". I got two people that need medical attention but they insist I weigh this fish and don't put that fish with the rest going to the food bank, that's human blood on me and the fish. Guy just slowly backs away from me and says I hope you have a better day tomorrow.

Where do i start?
One comes to mind when we decided to attempt to go offshore in a bay stealth in 2-4 ft seas. I'm pretty sure I pissed blood after that trip.
There was another time I was snapper fishing, I had to piss, instead of reeling up, I just set my pole down and put it under my foot. Well as I'm pissin a shark takes my bait, when it jerked my pole it knocked me off balance with my dick out and into the water. Lost the rod and reel for good and my short pants for about 10 minutes.

....ok not really, but I did accidentally sink 2 barbs of a treble hook into my buddies cheek. We were both fishing off of opposite sides of the stern. He's quite lucky to still have his right eye.

Left the dock around 11pm on a flounder gigging trip in a 16 foot flat bottom aluminum boat. Made a 3 mile trek to the bayou. Within 5 minutes of dropping the light in the water we'd stuck one. We poled around the whole bayou and didn't see another fish.
When we got back to the mouth of the bayou around 2:30 and tried to fire up the motor, you guessed it, nothing happened. We poled about a mile back towards the ramp until the docks extended to far out for our gig to hit bottom anymore. We had to paddle the remaining 2 miles into a headwind with one paddle and nothing to drink. Got back after sunrise
