Definitely can't accuse us of being bandwagon fans. As sad as it is, if you've never been to Wrigley, go one day, no matter how bad we suck, it's awesome.

Never played a down of college football. The season does wear you down. So how does Les adjust to that? You hear stories that he does not slack up with physicality as the season wears on. Is it true?? And I don't see BAMA being more physical with us in our last two matchups. The fact remains the schedule has meant zero difference between the two teams. QB play, flawed offensive game planning, and slightly better talent have made the difference. Easier schedule for us would not have changed that.

I've been...4 times. Agree with you completely.

Let's say we trade our FL game for bamas Missouri game. Assume we beat Missouri, who sucked, and Bama loses to FL, who was good (I realize this is a hypo, but not that crazy). We finished 11-1 and Bama finishes 10-2. Is it really that hard to see how an easy schedule favors Bama and always playing a (usually) strong FL will sometimes come back to bite us?

The only problem I have is the bridge scheduling will be in its third year in 2014. Look at 2013 - Florida and A&M at home, Georgia and Bama on the road. Four really tough games. Now go look at Bama's. Big difference and it's a bridge schedule.
If these happened to be in the regular rotation, so be it. But it's a temporary fix that looks ridiculous on paper.

Easier schedule might well have made the difference. You didn't see Bama being more physical; what might have you seen if Bama had had a more arduous schedule or LSU an easier one?
Perhaps this better talent that you saw with Bama was at least partially a result of better rested talent, and the inferior talent on LSU was a result of a more tired talent?
Even though you are a Bama apologist, you have to at least consider that playing Florida and USCe took more physically out of LSU than Mizzou or UT took out of Bama.
Which was of course the purpose of the scheduling.

Diggy...really ? You can't see that consistently playing a tougher schedule will WEAR down even a superior team ? Why is that reality such a difficult thing, for you to understand ?

The fact that the guy in charge of constructing the schedules is an Alabama alum gives this whole deal the look of impropriety. The last two bridge schedules appear to have been drafted in Tuscaloosa.
It is funny to me that the league has an alma mater rule preventing a ref from officiating a game in which his alma mater is involved, but somehow this same logic is not applied when it comes to scheduling.
I will reserve judgement on the next 3 or 4 bridge schedules (which is ridiculous in and of its self) to see if they attempt to balance things out, but I am not holding my breath.
To the Bama fan trying to argue that the schedules are fair because LSU gets a chance to play Alabama every year, give it up. The outcome of the LSU/Bama game last year or any other year doesn't change the fact that the bridge schedules were extremely favorable to Alabama (who, to their credit, made the most of them) and brings into question how/why that happened.

This is exactly right. Whatever the rotation is, I can live with. You never know who will be on the rise, who will be on the fall, etc. It's the luck of the draw. But this "bridge" shite is not right.

Ok, so adjust your practice routine to take that into account. We usually have two weeks for BAMA and had at least 4 weeks in 2011 title game. We each lost to a team last year I thought we were better than (us Fla and them A&M). So it came down to head to head and they won at our home. Not much simpler than that.

Hey, the bridge schedule is a great idea. It gives the SEC office an opportunity to see who from the East might be good the following year so that they send LSU to play them on the road and make sure that they keep them off of the Bama schedule.

"adjust your practice schedule"...wtf are you blabbering about...jesus you are one hard-headed gump !
A much more difficult schedule can NOT be "practice-adjusted" away !
Is it that difficult for you to admit you are wrong ?

We're gonna get Vandy/Mizzou in 14, and Bama is going to get USCe, so its going to make everyone crying about this look kinda silly.
The Bridge isn't unfair, its incompetent. Permanent Opponents that rob the conference of a rotation that keeps a cohesion across the east and west by playing more often isn't fair, and it isn't a good idea for the conference. It's also not changing.

Before you or your brethren start with the "Well we play Virginia Tech this coming season....," keep in mind that's the same VT that barely made it to a bowl game. And you opened last season with a very overranked Michigan team.
Typical Gump defending the "SEC gauntlet" that Bama plays year after year. How about you play Florida, UGA, USCe (who beat you the last time you played btw) all in one season and quit with these gimmie SEC wins from Kentucky, Tennessee (a rival ), Missouri, Vanderbilt.....

Just a quick question. What negative impact can anyone point to that his so called disparity in schedules has resulted in an different outcome since 2009? If we switched schedules do yu think we would have won 3 out of 4 BCS titles? Only 1 team has kept us from that and they will continue to be on our schedule every year. Why is Florida not wanting out of the permanent schedule? Just man up and beat BAMA when it counts, with a home field advantage, and the schedule talk never happens.
Finally a sane lsu fan that actually gets it. .....to the rest of u.

Bama has had the easiest schedule in the conference for all 3 of Sabans championships. If you played our schedule you might have 1 NC. freakin idiot!!
see you make my point for me. beat the teams on your schedule and you win championships. Bama beat the teams on their schedule .....including lsu.... so guess what CHAMPIONSHIP...and yes i know we got a rematch that yall didn't like but guess what, it happened and all you needed to do is win but no you got your asses beat......so whos the idiot...

except that we beat A&M, who is our divisional opponent. We also had to beat top 10 south carolina.
Bama split there 2 hardest games and made the national championship. It really isn't a hard concept to grasp, yet it keeps soaring over your head
Playing 4 top teams is harder than playing 2 top teams

except you didn't beat the teams on your schedule in 2011 or 2012.
both years you split your hardest games, and made the national championship. I fail to see 2 SEC losses that LSU would have had from Bama's 2012 schedule
