re: Crawfish Prices & Best Shipper - wahootiger on 3/28/20 at 2:46 pm
I’ve used Louisiana Crawfish Company the past several years to ship to Virginia and have always had a great experience. Not sure how they are impacted by Covid, but that would be my recommendation....

re: Portgual -> Northern Spain -> San Sebastian - wahootiger on 2/20/20 at 1:44 pm
Lisbon and Porto are amazing, as several on the board have already provided comments I will focus on San Sebastian - though I would recommend spending some time in the Douro valley if you can swing it. It is truly breathtaking scenery, and I can provide a good recommendation on a place to stay in P...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Last minute recs for Florence, Montepulciano, Siena (and kind of Rome) - wahootiger on 9/12/19 at 2:59 pm
Thanks to all for the recommendations. I’ve already made some reservations at a few of the places mentioned, and plan on trying to hit up a few more spots if the opportunity presents itself. Having a few beers in the airport lounge with my out of office up - it’s a good feeling!...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

VA Buckeye, did you have any trouble shipping wine back? My very cursory internet research informed me that it was somewhat difficult. Will incidentally be shipping to Virginia (assuming that is what the VA stands for....). TIA....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)

Last minute recs for Florence, Montepulciano, Siena (and kind of Rome) - wahootiger on 9/11/19 at 6:51 am
Mrs. Wahootiger and I are leaving on a belated honeymoon tomorrow for Italy. We're flying straight from Dulles to Rome then training immediately to Florence. The itinerary is: 2 nights Florence, rent car for 4 nights in Montepulciano and 2 nights in Siena, drop car back in Florence, train back to ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (10)
re: Tuscany late September v. Mid November - wahootiger on 5/15/19 at 9:07 pm
Thanks for all the info. We’re leaning towards September if we can get work to cooperate - the option of having an aperol spritz in an outdoor cafe is turning out to be the trump card. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
Tuscany late September v. Mid November - wahootiger on 5/14/19 at 9:51 am
The fiance and I are trying to plan a trip to Italy, most likely Tuscany, for our big honeymoon trip (note, we're not going right after the wedding and will be taking a "mini-moon" instead, so this will be more of a "regular" trip as opposed to the lounge around and do nothing honeymoon trip). We...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (4)

How did you like Montecatini? We are thinking. Tuscany for our honeymoon but we’re looking to go more the Florence Siena montepliciano route in terms of areas visited....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Virginia (Rappahannock County) Trip Review - wahootiger on 4/30/19 at 8:42 pm
As a UVA alum, central Virginia will always have a special place in my heart. The scenery up around Sperryville really is some of the most bucolic you can hope to find. Glad you enjoyed yourself. ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: FBD - Sunday Sippin - wahootiger on 4/28/19 at 11:19 am
AbitaFan08
Copper Fox is money, and that’s an absolutely beautiful area of Virginia. Plus, it’s a perfect day here in the Commonwealth. As I’m stuck in the office all day, have another one for me. The brewery next door (Pen Druid I think) has pretty decent beer....

re: My thoughts on UVA/UMBC - wahootiger on 4/9/19 at 9:26 pm
Wahoowa baby. I read the in-game thread this morning, hoping to see people comment rationally about how great of a championship game that was, from both sides. Instead, just a bunch of OT-level responses about how the game was cooked and UVA was the benefit of some grand conspiracy. Just let th...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Has Virginia redeemed themselves? - wahootiger on 3/29/19 at 7:18 am
Not sure on key, and he played really well against Oklahoma. I was also surprised by the lack of minutes for Huff, especially when we needed an offensive spark. I know he turned it over right when he came in, but I think he has a longer leash than that....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Has Virginia redeemed themselves? - wahootiger on 3/29/19 at 5:35 am
dont understand how that team only has 3 losses. they have not been impressive to me
Because in the regular season we played well, and in the tournament we've played poorly, by and large, thus far. Why that is - who knows? Kyle Guy, arguably the nation's best shooter, is in a h...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Portugal for 7 days in May - wahootiger on 3/27/19 at 3:16 pm
Where did you stay in Pinhao? We stayed at Quinta de La Rosa two summers ago and loved it. A nice place that is pretty reasonable for what you get. Portugal is awesome and the Douro Valley is high on the list if you’re looking for a slower pace. I’ve also heard good things about Antelejo....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
BNYM Stock IDX IS for 401k contributions - wahootiger on 3/20/19 at 7:09 am
I recently changed jobs, and my new employer's 401k is through Fidelity. I've always used Vanguard, but I understand that Fidelity has some good options for index funds. In my Vanguard accounts, I am either invested in the total stock market index or the S&P 500 index, as I am 32 and plan on letti...
