It's very impressive how he's managed his pithing staff and dealt with injuries. Considering he followed in the footsteps of a living legend and failed successor, he has kept LSU baseball at dynasty status in an era where the competition is tougher than ever.

And what has Notre Dame baseball done since he left there...

Like Miles, a large share of LSU's fanbase takes him for granted.

Top 5 for sho, I'd put Horton and probably Corbin ahead of him.
Mike Martin is up there but probably behind PM. O'Connor at Virginia is up there. Casey at Oregon St. should get consideration.

Its really a tough call. Others have been more consistent than him, but haven't won a title.

I have a lot of hateful things I could write, but I'll just quietly say "no".

Yes he is IMO

But if Ray Tanner was still coaching, PM would be #2

ETA: I don't think he's a clear cut winner

George Horton hands down is the best coach IMO. What he has done everywhere he goes is incredible.

We could argue all day on who is the best. But there's little doubt that he is one if the top 5 coaches. He has had an impressive run and may well win his 2nd title in the last 4 years. Corbin is a fine coach, but he hasn't won a national title.

If you don't think he's at least in the conversation, you've forgotten how bad it was when he took over
