Any suggestions? Looking for somewhere fun, possibly a jazz brunch. Nothing super fancy.

I suggest having reservations weeks ago.

What is super fancy? How much are you looking to spend?

See if the Rib Room at the Omni Orleans has reservations available.

At this point you (and mom, I suppose) have to be willing to think outside the box, if you want to dine out. That ain't gonna be a "jazz brunch."
Try some ethnic joints.

If mom is not picky and you can get there early, the Copelands on Veterans down toward Orleans Parish line does a pretty big jazz brunch. Lots of selections with the standard carving station, bannanas foster station, and omelette station.
Would be way down on my list of places, but if you require a jazz brunch, this might be one of your few options left.

Ehh, on super busy days like this, if you have to go out at last minute, focus on places that dont take reservations. You could go to Galatoire's but I imagine that will be too fancy. There are certainly other places that dont take reservations that would work. Try hotel restaurants as well. Domenica comes to mind.

Just by looking at open table, your choices are:
Andrea's
Bayona (after 1:00)
Domenica
Luke
Or
McDonalds
Burger King
subway

Yeah, I realize it's a little last minute. It doesn't have to be a jazz brunch- just a fun atmosphere. Nothing fancy like Commander's
