I like Abita's version. Covington is just ok. I would drink it if there was nothing around but Pliney the Elder or something though.

Abita, but I won't turn down a Covington if that's the only thing available.

The lovely Mrs. has tried all but her go to lambic is Timmerman's Strawberry.

I vote Abita.

Picked up some of Dogfish Head's strawberry last week. Gonna try it on Mother's Day when I boil.

It's like when you're at the eye doctor and he's doing that thing with the lenses and asking you which is better, 1 or 2? Only they look the same. He then says you have to choose, so you just say 1 and go on to the next question. That's about how I feel.

Really? I can't stand Covington's. Really like Abita's, but I've only had 12 this year, where normally I would've had 3-4x that by now. One of the deterrents is that my local liquor store sells it for $8.29/6 pack. Another reason is that I'm mainly a whiskey drinker currently.

Neither beer posted is a lambic. I would go Abita if offered, but Sam Smith organic strawberry is way better if one wants fruity beer.

Covington's strawberry flavor tasted artificial.
