I just saw where LA says it would want to host the olympics in 2024. The U.S.O.C sent letters out to 35 cities to gauge interest. NOLA wasn't on there but Tulsa and Orlando were.
Heres the list

I would love to see marathoners run through the 9th ward.

Jacksonville couldn't even host a Superbowl properly.

Neither could New Orleans apparently with the lights going out.

NOLA can do anything. It's the greatest city in the world

Has the Olympics recently been held in a place as hot/humid as New Orleans? Seems like that would make things difficult right off the bat before getting into infrastructure concerns.
I'd love to hear testimonies from athletes/trainers/fans across the world after visiting the FQ

What would we do with the facilities afterwards? Don't most cities lose money on the Olympics? As far as the room concern is I am in favor of bulldozing some projects.

Frick no, and this is like the 18th thread about this

In theory money could fix all of NOLA's Olympic problems except one. Hurricanes.

Yea, that's a really good point. Too unpredictable. On the other hand, could really make some of the games interesting.
