Somebody's butthurt about critics trashing that movie.
(He was on the Nerdist podcast, fyi)

He's missing the point of the criticism. No one should have made that movie in the first place.

Exactly.
ETA: JJ Abrams, take note.

For sure if you're a huge fan of movies or comedy.

this. i've got fantastic memories of spending hours, when i was a kid, watching episodes of the three stooges with my dad. based on the preview, that movies looks horrible; admittedly, i haven't seen the movie...mainly because i don't want to mess with nostalgia. you can't top the original shows.

I thought the movie was pretty good. You could tell they were fans of the originals.

It's a shame the original cast fell through. I might have watched it with that cast.
I still haven't gotten around to watching it so I can't comment on whether it worked or not.

I am so glad Jim Carrey backed out.

I am a huge "Stooge-o-phile". I know I've seen every episode with Moe, Larry, Shemp, and/or Curly.
Most with Joe
Few with Curly Joe.
I found that Farrelly Bros. "Stooges" was not a ripoff, but an homage. I thought the way they introduced all of the Stooges' slapstick gags was very good. Not all at once, but at an even pace. I also thought Sean Hayes' Larry and Will Sasso's Curly were very good, considering. Will Sasso was better than Joe Besser or Curly Joe DeRita ever were.
I found myself laughing heartily at times, remembering the time in the mid-70s when my mom got cable TV and I was first introduced to the Stooges.
Also, Sofia Vergara and Kate Upton did not hurt either.
It did not ruin my memory of the Stooges at all.

I only listen to the ones with people I'm interested in hearing from.
Hardwick does a good job with the questions, and if it's another comedian, you can learn a lot about stand up and improv.
But I don't like the hosts quite enough to listen when it's someone I know nothing about or don't want to hear from.

one of my favorite stooge scenes.

I thought that the Farrelly Brothers Stooges movie was great. They didn't set out to improve or change on the Stooges... just a great set of Stooges gags performed magnificently.
If you have kids, rent this movie for sure. The performances are flawless.
Not sure why there's so much hate for this. Joe Besser and Joe DeRita did a lot more damage to the franchise (not to mention the crappy cartoons and movies) than the Farrelys ever did.
I'm looking forward to a sequel.

The only stooges movie worth making is a true biopic of their lives. it would be a great historical piece that touches on vaudville, silent movies, being jewish in america during that time, and of course the enduring legacy of the Howard (Horowitz) brothers.
Done right this could be an amazing biopic

I saw that flick. It was decent for the small budget they clearly had.
PF can EAD if he can't handle the criticism. Recycling old Stooges routines and the save the orphanage plot with average (at best, Will Sasso? dafaq?) comic actors doing so so impressions was lazy arse film making IMO.
It would have been much better to go the serious biopic route with some career highlights recreated like was done with Jim Carrey's Andy Kaufman flick Man In The Moon.
