Some public will be part of the "select" teams. Something along the lines of having their own district/school board = select.
So, will Central and Zachary be in the select? That would be abusrd.

Dude they had YEARS to play up in 5a and never did.
that was on JT protecting his other sports
but the situation changed and he couldn't play up to 5A even if he wanted to

WM isn't listed as voting in the op.
Posted on 1/25/13 at 3:27 pm to JJ27
You know how Neville voted hadn't been able to find out
Posted on 1/25/13 at 3:27 pm to JJ27
From news articles it looks like there were over 300 votes so the op only has a fraction of them listed.
Posted on 1/25/13 at 3:29 pm to nevilletiger79
WM, Neville, Ouavhita, Ruston...none listed as voting. 15% were listed as absent. I would think Neville would vote No since they want to be a Charter school.

That's what I meant by saying they talk out the side of their mouth. The claim the catholic league didnt want then in their district so they weren't going to move up & play in the river parish or public school jeff parish district, so they said the hell with it.
Yet the reason JT & his dad always claimed was the other sports would take a hit. It was never "the catholic league won't take us".
They could have moved up and they didnt. I'm not going to feel sorry for them when they were banned from moving up when they never ran with the big dogs anyway
I wasn't saying you were defending it, and I know quite well what happened. It's all pretty stupid anyway

WM hasn't lost to a private school in my lifetime other than Evangel. I don't know why they would vote for a split. They've destroyed 5A private schools. 3-5A have been the only teams to beat them in the playoffs.

New Orleans area schools which had no representation at the meeting included the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Cabrini, Chalmette, Clark, Crescent City Christian, First Baptist, Lake Area New Tech, Landry, McDonogh 35, Pearl River. Phoenix, Ridgewood, Sci Academy, St. Mary's Academy, St. Martin's, Sophie Wright and Xavier Prep.

As long as Neville can keep their enrollment at 67% within their specified district they will be a non select school....if they get 34% of students outside their current area they would be select

The money is with the privates and we all know this. If the money is with the privates then why couldn't they form their own association?
A lot of people think they will

First they are under contact with lhsaa
Second what would forming their own assoc. accomplish

schools can leave it
they just have to make up their obligations to other schools beyond this school year

Second what would forming their own assoc. accomplish
they can make their own rules and give the thumb to the LHSAA
