What do you recommend at Clancy's

Never been, thinking of going, what are the go to dishes? I've looked at the menu and either the lamb chops or veal chop is standing out, but that may be only because I would like to eat that right now so it's subject to change whenever I actually go.

Smoked Soft Shell Crab

I like the oysters and brie app.

Not sure I've ever had a smoked soft shell crab before. Reading the cursive on their menu made me overlook that item even though it's the first item listed. sounds good.

Try annunciation. New restaurant. Old chef at Clancy's

I want to try Annunciation but I have to stay uptown for this visit. I've been to Coquette, Lilette, and Patois somewhat recently and need another spot I've never been in the area. And there's others involved with the decision making so that makes it tough.

Oyster and Brie and sweetbreads to start (though Bayona's are a bit better). Softshell crab and veal were both good. Good wine list, parking a real challenge.

Oysters and are overpowered by the Brie to me.

Oyster/Brie app or

The boston salad is also very very good
Soft-shell crab or
Roasted chicken
Lemon ice box pie or
Carmel and sea salt desert
One of the best wine lists in the city

Thanks for the kind reminder of Clancys.
Will try to visit when I'm in for NOWFE this spring.

Appreciate some of the suggestions.

The sweet breads are nice. The scallop app with fois gras is a winner, too.

If you order the oysters and brie, order light brie. Gris Gris is correct about the brie overpowering the oysters.
Apps:
Crab salad
Sweetbreads
Shrimp remoulade(best in the city IMO)
Entrees:
Scallops
Smoked soft shell crab
Veal Chop
Fish of the day
Desserts:
Lemon ice box pie
Peppermint ice cream with chocolate sauce
Previously mentioned, the best and most fairly priced wine list in the city and a great selection of single malt scotches and bourbons. Enjoy, my favorite restaurant in town.

The lobster risotto is excellent.

That's my least favorite item on the menu but my wife loves it

I'll be honest, very unlikely I go with the the risotto. Just not the route I usually take at a restaurant.
