I have been to the campus of LSU and seen the hill that is the highest point in the pelican state and all that. I have also seen Mike the Tiger's cage. It's a nice place. My question is how does your university continue to get authorization to get a Mike? I know Tiger's are highly endangered and just wonder how you guys continue to get a tiger? Is there a deal y'all have? I'm just wondering about it and if there is an investigation that has to be had by a PETA company or something.

Mike has a better habitat than most zoos.

ETA: Easy to get tigers on the black market...want one?

Yeah PETA gets to investigate, we let them in Mike's cage after not feeding him for a day or two. Those investigations are still ongoing.

PETA threw a little bitch fit about us getting the last Mike. We won.

That tiger is better taken care of than a lot of children in this country.

Have you seen his recently built "habitat"? It's unbelieveable.

Rescue Tigers are a dime a dozen. The main issue is the amount of money needed to keep him in his lifestyle.

Mike is a mixed-breed (half Siberian/half bengal) and as such I doubt he is covered by endangered species laws. In addition if he were, I'm sure LSU could become part of a breeding program.

When we got our latest, PETA protested, but they really didn't have a leg to stand on. Mike was captive raised and was picked up from a place that rescued big cats. So Mike (formerly Roscoe) went from living on concrete surrounded by chain links to a massive enclosure with a small army of vets to attend to his every need. He is very well off...

We have a Tiger.

You don't.

Mike's home cost more than 99% of the human population's homes.... He's most definitely a 1%er.

LSU has more money than CLemson. Clemson is a shittier version of LSU. Tigers will be extinct in the wild soon so existing in captivity will be their only hope. LSU is doing the species a favor. The current mike was a tiger born in captivity that wasn't supposed to happen. Our gas station in gross tete, LA has a tiger. It's not that difficult
