I live an hour north up in the N. Ga. Mtns and will be going to the game with my family of four to cheer on our Tigers. We have a large alumni base here in Atlanta, so we should be well represented. Besides, even though outnumbered 2-1 by Tech fans in 08(arguably the worse year in Les' tenure and the 2000 game in Satan's first year), we were much louder.

The last two times we went to ATL we stayed at the Doubletree and Courtyard Marriott in Buckhead. The rates were better than downtown and only a block from Marta.

gray, did you just choose generic "4star downtown hotel" on hotwire to get WEstin at $105?
I like the hotel, and would actually prefer it over Hilton...shorter walk to GaDome.

I think I am going to stay in Buckhead. Usually stay downtown, but except for the actual game, there is nothing going on. Rather stay where there is more to do and just go downtown for game time festivities.

When I go to Atlanta for SECCG(have not missed one yet) i always stay at the OMNI hotel right by the Dome.
