LSU had better step up now and show Les Miles the same kind of loyaly he has shown LSU.

bullshite. $5.5 million is too much money for any coach, and we shouldn't get caught up in the race to the highest paid coach.

This loyalty stuff is pure conjecture.

because plenty of schools will gladly pay Les Miles $5+ million to make them perennial title contenders.

I assume Les' agent has something to do with this offer, so I do not consider it bona fide.

I do not think anyone at Arkansas thinks it will result in Miles leaving LSU, so that is another strike against it.
Is it true that Les has a good friendship with the Ark AD?
If so, that might answer lots of questions.

But, LSU has had another coach who now has 3 national titles in his career and the possibility of a 4th.

Apples and Oranges. If you compare Miles' record at LSU v. Saban's record at LSU, Miles wins.

Now compare the situation that each one walked into.

les at 3.75 million is making more than he is worth. I like him and appreciate what he has done for LSU but if Arky wants him for 5.5 million then I say let him go.

He's not perfect, but he is the best damn head football coach (and one of the finest men) we've ever had representing LSU, and I believe he will deliver us two more crystal footballs before he retires!

No ... all I did is objectively say that the argument over the "best damn head football coach" ever to coach at LSU ... is debatable ... if looking at the entire career of said candidates.

Also, it depends on what metric(s) you go by.
