both deserved to lose their jobs when they did; however, Brady was a better coach at his sport. Chizik has had one good season as a head coach at Iowa St or Auburn. He had a winning record in his conference 1 time in his career, and that was because of one player. John Brady won 2 SEC titles, made the tournament 4 times, sweet 16 once, the final four once, and the NIT twice.

Prior to Cam Newton, everyone knew Chizik sucked. Even when Cam got there, everyone knew it was Gus Malzahne(sp?) running that offense.
He just isn't cut out for the SEC.

Chizik was a dog from the get go, got lucky with cam newton, brady got fired with tasmin mitchell hurt the entire year and chris johnson hurt most of the year, with those two playin all year he would have never gotten fired and would probably still be here, probably would have beaten n carolina in the tourney like he beat duke and texas earlier, brady truely got screwed. At the time of the firing I remember the national media and most of the coaches in the league going nuts for firing him in the middle of the year with his two best players not playing. A final four at LSU is pretty special. He looked like john wooden compared to TJ. He also won the sun belt in his third year at arky state for the record

Brady Ball and he never ran those camps..Butch Pierre ran those camps btw a great guy and probaly should have been given a chance to coach here ( but I'm glad we have the bullet now} but Brady was rarely seen at those camps..I had my son at them....Derrick Taylors son was the star of the camp at 12 years old...hope he comes here

Chizik came in went 8-5.....would've probably been 8-5 again if not for Cam Newton, then went 8-5, and then went 3-9.
That team was never going to be very good under Chizik. The gimmicky spread offense that they had last year requires a completely different type of recruiting, so once they installed it, it was game over. He was 5-19 as head coach at Iowa State, and he was 33-19 at Auburn (19-19 in 3 season without Newton). 15-17 in the SEC in 4 years.
That's about as complete a resume to get fired as one could have......except maybe Dooley at Tennessee.

The gimmicky spread offense that they had last year requires a completely different type of recruiting, so once they installed it, it was game over.
