The governor had the teeth removed from the ones around the ring but they looked pretty spirited
which makes me think he was lying to andrea about removing their teeth and it being for show.

think this was more because they had been starving for months. Obviously because they had their jaws removed but it wasn't an instant thing.
that makes sense too.
also i was wondering if rick mentioning zombie scratches in the first season was just ignorance at the time. has anyone actually turned from a scratch?
seems like people have been scratched before, as well as covered in blood and guts almost every episode (from kills) and it doesn't seem to affect anyone.
i'm not taking shots at logic or continuity in the show like others. it just seems like a bite is the only thing that does the trick.

No reason to lie about it. And we saw earlier in the episode Merle pulling out some teeth from one of the ones they caught. It makes sense that they pulled the teeth because the crowd doesn't realize that, so they think it's all super dangerous when in actuality, it's not.

(insert disclaimer about everyone being infected/bite not "turning" people).
You would think Glenn would have gotten a few scratches in that fight with the walker. Heck, for a second I thought he got bitten on the arm. But then again he had that duck tape on his arm. Just one more thing duck tape is good for - anti zombie armor.

The only person who was scratched that they talked about was Big Tiny, he didn't last much longer.

ok i was thinking that if their teeth weren't there they would be as "feisty". but it's been said now that they just become docile after not feeding for a long time.

Also didn't understand why Michonne didn't just say her name and explain why she's a friendly. Not like they were going to run a background check on her
I can't find her lack of trust in Rick and the group as stupid. Maybe Andrea never mentioned Rick or the others by name, and Michonne had just come out of a poor experience in Woodbury. It comes across as intelligent to me to wait until she finds some level of trust/common ground with Rick's group before divulging personal info, and she sure as hell is much more intelligent reading people/situations and knowing about how to survive in the ZA than Andrea. She needs a pistol to augment her sword, then she would be ultra bad arse.
The promo with Michonne and the Governor's walking corpse of a daughter was crazy. This season has been great, other than the Governor and his rather weak band of thugs wiping out the helicopter pilot's men. That is so unbelievable in retrospect given the rudimentary skills of those guarding the walls and the guys with Merle hunting Michonne.

I think that people are getting carried away with this. The Governor was amazed that Rick's people could clear the prison because Merle said it couldn't be done. Merle is watching out for his own skin. Just like him not chasing Michonne and killing her. He didn't tell the Governor the prison couldn't be cleared because it couldn't be cleared. He didn't think it was worth risking his life, so he lied.
I think that people are assuming that the Governor is shocked and think's Rick's group is super strong and capable. I think he's shocked because he's realizing how little he can really trust Merle. And, he knows without Merle, his whole town comes crashing down.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Governor lock Merle up in chains prior to the fight breaking out. He knows he can't trust him, and he has to know that Rick, and Merle's brother, are coming for Maggie and Glenn. And, if he can't trust Merle now, he definitely can't trust him when Daryl shows up.

Andrea's character sucks, but she is the ultimate killing machine. She's an unknowing and unwilling Trojan Horse at this point with no one in Woodbury knowing how much of badass she can be.
If she turns on Johnny Bravo, those patrols better skit skat outa town because she's gonna wreck their shite.

especially when she finds out that Rick is single...she's going to be killing the Governor's people and taking off her pants, all at the same time.

is she??
i get that she can handle herself but didn't she just learn how to shoot like 4 months ago? she's basically a 3 month improvement on carl.
rick and daryl are clearly more skilled at this point, and for as little as we've seen from her, so is michonne.

I'd throw Glenn into that group too. And Maggie is pretty much as effective as her

not to mention clearly the group spent the winter honing their skills while Andrea was sick and being cared for by Michonne

Very much so. They tried communicating this at the end of last season and they alluded to it this season. Michonne stayed with her so long for a reason, Andrea was saving HER life a lot as well.
That's why I think we haven't SEEN much of her badassery on the show this season, she's gonna probably hulk out and be the turning point toward one of the groups. I'm thinking she turns on Bravo eventually.

judging from scenes where they all have a gun, they are all pretty even in shooting. Andrea has extra weight on her shoulders and acts like she has something to prove. Hopefully, this will get her killed as she is too unpredictable, much like Shane.

You totally missed the conversation between her and Michonne at the beginning of this season. Andrea had just gotten sick, but for the 8-10 months prior she had been honing her skills with Michonne saving her life multiple times, that's WHY Michonne was going out of her way to save Andrea at the beginning of the season. She owed Andrea.

Wasn't the leg of the chair still taped to his arm, the one he eventually put through the walker's brain? Duct tape + Wood--GREAT zombie armor!

Wouldn't it be cool if the governor arranged another "zombie fight club" in the yard and left their teeth in just for Merle?

I think Daryl dies before Merle does...

i missed that too then. but you make intersting points. i'd much see andrea play out as an arse kicker.
