Probably won't happen, and by all means shouldn't...

But where would a Hogs win over LSU send LSU? Think your ceiling would be Cotton? Or drop farther?

It would be awesome to see ULM and Tech play in Indy Bowl although Shreveport hotels probably wouldn't like it.

Sugar picks Texas A&M over LSU LSU/OU in Cotton

Nope, there will be a backdoor deal if possible.

LSu doesn't want the cotton. Just played there 2 years ago and opened last season there and will open next season there. For this same reason LSU will not be the cottons first choice either. Not to mention the biggest reason. The cotton wants the powder keg that A&M vs Texas would be.

How smug does Bama come off to the national media? A week ago, just about every pundit had UGA beating Bama in the SECCG. Now, because KState and Oregon lost, suddenly Bama has its shite together and will beat UGA.

I guess since they have something to play for, all their problems are now fixed, right?

Hate to break it to you guys, but Bama is going to beat UGA soundly.

That match up favors them......

I really think UGA bests bama and they are in the bcsnc game. Leaving Bama in the cotton

This is what I am hoping for.

Their secondary is their weak spot. Murray is a veteran QB who has a 66% completion pct, 2986 yds, 28 TDs and 7 ints. How is that a favorable matchup?

Sugar Bowl will grab A&M over us. A hoard of idiots with flat tops let into Harrah's and Bourbon and Quarter for a week straight vs. 2 nights of us doing it. Johhny vs. Met. What would YOU do if you were Dave Melius and the reps from NOLA/business influences who will indeed have a say so.

A&M fans made Shreveport turn into a metropolis in '00. Turn them loose in a casino with free booze. You kiddin? They'd bring 100K over. You have to do 100 pushups just to get "chow" where they come from.

Screw that. I want the Sugar. I want a BCS bowl if we can't be in the BCSNG

This. I don't understand all these people not wanting LSU to go to the Sugar bowl. Do they not understand that it is a BCS bowl and thus is more prestigious than the Cotton?

Texas or OU is the match up I want. The venue doesn't matter to me.

Meh...I think the difference is negligible in reality. The cotton is legit. Only game on during prime time in perhaps the best football stadium on the planet.

Going to the cotton in 2010 was awesome. And LSUs prestige certainly didn't take any hit afterwards.

By comparison, going to the Sugar that year doesn't seem to have done much for Arky or OSU.

UF wins goes to Sugar.
Bama backdoors to another BCSNCG
Uga goes to Cap One
USC to Outback
A&M to Cotton
LSU to CFA, similar to 2005

KSU vs. Oregon-Fiesta
Rutgers/Louisville vs FSU-Orange
Florida vs. Oklahoma-Sugar
Stanford vs. Nebraska-Rose
Bama vs. Notre Dame-BCS

I hope I'm wrong.

Not sure what you mean by this? Arky lost Petrino and blows big time this year with their nut-ball for a coach and won't even make a bowl game this year. Not anything to do with making or not making the Sugar bowl two seasons ago.

Ohio State is ineligible due to what went down before that Sugar Bowl but They will be in the Top 10 in every poll to start the season next year. Looks like Urban Myer has them going in the right direction. Not sure what any of that has to do with them doing in the Sugar Bowl 2 seasons ago. Ohio State will always be a Historically all time great college football program when it comes to prestigiousness.
