You are a terrible poster.

It's not even topical. We don't fight commies, we vote them in now.

Hasn't the release been delayed a couple times before? I guess they have a film with some decent big names that needs to be distributed.

The original was a pretty cool flick. That said, the idea of remaking it is bush league. No way they can outdo the original. I haven't seen it, don't plan on it - just my prediction.

The Chinamen didn't take to kindly to that.
They changed it to the fricking North Koreans. There are 24 million people in North Korea. Texas has more people than that, and probably more guns too.
Premise is stupid.

The release date was changed because MGM went bankrupt same thing happened to Skyfall and Cabin In The Woods

PG-13 teeny bobber war movie. Pass.

The first one was so good because of peoples fear of Soviet-U.S. War during the Cold War. No one in their right minds believes North Korea could invade the U.S.

Certainly a valid point. Just from seeing the preview, the movie looks too up-close for me. I know some people might enjoy that style but with the theme of red dawn, I want to see things from the bird's perspective and get a good sense of a nationwide invasion. I don't care about one little group in their small part of the country, which is what makes me believe the movie will show. I'll probably wait until it's on Netflix to give it a shot.

Looks like it will compete for worst movie ever. Hemsworth's lines in the previews make me sick to my stomach

The first one was definitely a product of its time...1984.
Cold War was still hot - Reagan had just announced Star Wars defense against the Evil Empire in 1983.
We still had duck and cover drills under our desks in grade school for a nuclear attack.
The Day After TV movie had come out a year before...and we had to talk about the movie at school even though some parents wouldn't even let their kids watch it.
So when Red Dawn came out...we were like, "this could really happen!"
And then Rocky IV came out in 1985 and ruined everything by making peace with the Russkies and ending the Cold War.
