I can GUARANTEE you he'd do a better job than Saban did in the NFL.....

I actually agree with this, and not because I think Miles is a better COLLEGE coach than Saban.

he was doing OK but poor drafting and FA moves were having that ship take on massive amounts of water, he saw what was coming. In college he can recruit and process the guys who aren't working out.

There's a reason I never hear Les Miles' name when there's talk of how certain college coaches would fit in the NFL.
And that mean's what exactly? The NFL record of college coaches is so awesome.

The other thing that's interesting is that it's not just the NFL. When college jobs open up, you don't ever hear about any of them looking at or for Les Miles to take the job. or even interview. Sure there was that Michigan thing. His Alma Mater. But beyond the Wolverines, I wonder if the search committees and A.D.s see something lacking there, something some Tiger fans are missing?

What do you think he's "worth" as an NFL coach?

That failed. College teams aren't willing to pay him as much as Bama.

You are using Peter King's quote out of context as a way to bash Miles. It's pathetic.

What is the context then? To me it was saying all his foolish calls and game management was the reason he doesn't get offers. Or was it that lousy prevent he threw out at the end.

You interpret that quote for me by King. Not that I think King isn't a douche but his point is correct.

Miles is a players coach so he'd be good in NFL imo. Saban wants players scared of him and multimillionaire athletes don't get down like that to nobody.

He's a players coach. Saban's rule with an iron fist mentality didn't fly in the NFL.

What a dumbass.......what programs are more attractive than LSU and what it offers??

You think Kentucky, Louisville, Arizona would try to woo Miles away from LSU?

what a fricktard comment

Ya know, I would never in a million years have pictured Peter King would look anything like that.

Sorry for the interruption. Please carry on with the regularly scheduled innanity.

That's a staggering bit of stupidty right there if you think only the University of Alabama can afford Nick Saban.

Comprehension is not your strength. Affording and willing to pay what it would take to get him are 2 different things dumbass.

only morons think a guy that's won 80% of his games is not a very good coach because of a couple of questionable calls. He's not as good as Saban, so what? Saban's the best there is and yet Miles has still beaten him 2 of the last 3 years.

Maybe, just maybe, that has to do with the fact that Miles makes a healthy salary at one of the premier football colleges. Where would he go? He turned down his alma mater twice, he clearly isn't going to leave so why even bother talking about him as a possibility at your school?

He was 15-17 in two years in the NFL and dicked over the Dolphins, that has more to do with the lack of NFL teams chasing him than them being "unwilling to pay what it would take". Lots of NFL coaches make as much or more as Saban dumbass.

This is just astounding.

He doesn't get mentioned for college jobs because he's already at one of the handful of premier jobs in the country.

So he turned down his alma mater at a top historic school and is one of the highest paid coaches in the top conference. Geez I wonder why lesser schools don't go after him for their openings. Derrrrrrp.

fricking idiot.

Miles isn't interested in coaching in the NFL

He has said he prefers college football because you have an offseason

No offseason in the NFL

People saying miles doesn't get NFL rumors because he is a bad coach obviously don't have perspective. Pat Shurmur is a NFL HC right now. Does anyone really believe Pat Shurmur is a better HC than Miles?

1st Miles would have to want to be a nfl HC
2nd a job he is a fit for would have to be open
3rd the owner would have to want a college guy
4th they would have to be willing to pay to hire Miles

So Peter king saying miles doesn't get mentioned for NFL Jobs doesn't have any meaning without perspective. The same can be said about stoops, brown, Meyer, etc
