Think I read where he just wanted to go to a team that would compete for a championship.

This.

To the OP. He could sit at PSU and be a backup or he could come to LSU and not have to sit out and be a backup on a contender. He still has 2 years of eligibility AFTER this season..

Interesting that Bolden transfers here and then is third string

I find it more expected than interesting, but then I don't fall for the BS spread here sometimes.

I saw both scrimmages that both played. Huge drop off from Mett , I would expect to see Bolden in a game that matters. He runs the" CIrcle the Wagons " offense
much better.

Yeah we were gonna promise playing time to a bad college qb.

Answers to the questions:

1. Why did Bolden transfer? - He was third string on a team that can't play in a bowl game. Now he's third string on a championship contender. Good move for him.

2. Did Rivers beat him out? - Wrong question. Rivers was already number 2. The question is did Bolden beat Rivers out. He hasn't and it would be unusual for that to happen after only a month in the program.

NEWS FLASH....Rivers is good as far as the mechanics, he just deeds playing time. He had a awkward throwing motion, but it seems like he's straightened it out some, not bad just different.

I have a feeling Bolden will go in to run Perrilloux like plays occasionally.

Let's wait and review the depth chart next year, and see who is where.

Yes, just give him some time. Remember, it's a long season--only one game has been played and there is always a chance of injury at the QB position.

At least it shows that Rivers has improved enough to rank above a transfer QB who was a back-up on his team last season.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bolden got some snaps in the next three weeks.
I look for him to be the change of pace (read runner) qb that Miles seems to like.

He gets to watch a team play for a chance for a NC or get to watch a team lose to Ohio. Either way he is on the bench. Seems like a easy choice for me.

Can Bolden be moved to WR and use him as a backup at QB when necessary?

If he is athletic, why not play him.

If you're going to use the big boy words, you may want to actually learn them.
