Every time I visit NOLA, I try to get a couple good slices of pizza, just to munch on. I found a great place on Bourbon st. the last time I was there but it's on Bourbon St..... plus it's a little pricey for a slice.

Is the pizza from Slice any good? I'm referring to the one on St. Charles.

Thanks for any help!

I have tried several pizzas from slice and they were all very good. Quality ingredients and great service. Try the bacon basil and garlic or the shrimp and andouille.

one of the best is from Pizza Delicious, they are only open on thu and sat, and currently appear to be on vacation--but they are supposed to have a new spot in October where I'd imagine they will be open for more days per week.

I don't get the hype over Slice. I think it's overrated.

I much prefer Theo's, Rocky's, etc.

Light Tomato Sauce, Imported Prosciutto, Organic Arugula, Mozzarella, and a drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Love Slice, probably my fave. However, I find the Magazine Street spot to be consistently better than the St. Charles location. Not sure why, it just is.

Plus, it always fun to check out the MILFs and assorted Uptown hotties at Whole Foods.

Outside of the Metairie places, I'd put Slice third behind Ancora and Nino's for the best pizza I've had in Nola. Some of their pies can be a little off, but Slice is better than Theo's, Rocky's and New York Pizza. Haven't had Pizza Delicious or Sugar Park yet. Domenica doesn't even register because of the horrendous job they've done the two times I've ordered pies there.

Really, I think they're different concepts and styles.

no. very bland.

If Cafe Nino isn't on your list, put it there.

I had it once when I was staying uptown for Mardi Gras one year. I remember thinking that this is one of, if not, the best slices of pizza I have ever eaten. But then again, I also fell asleep standing up at a bar that night.

Ancora is the best in my opinion. Slice is okay. Nothing amazing.

I think there are better pizzas in the city, but Slice is pretty good. And, in that area, you'd be hard pressed to find a better pizza. Also, Slice has some nice drink specials... 1/2 priced pitchers of beer, bottles of wine, and well drinks on Tuesdays.

Slice is good. Try the Prosciutto and Arugula pizza and have them bring you some honey to drizzle on it (per the rec of my last waitress there). It's awesome.

I personally love slice. Very good and very reasonably priced. The non-pizza items are superb as well

The owner is such a great guy, besides. It just makes it that much more enjoyable to patronize his establishments. He owns Juan's Flying Burrito, and he's got a place opening up soon on Poydras and Baronne - I forgot the name.

I had Slice pizza last night, in fact. The Magazine location. We got the large supreme. It was excellent.

For the record, I love Nino's and Ancora as well.
