Here's something I came across on the Westeros site. Might mean absolutely nothing but I hadn't thought of it before:
Seems like the mothers of Jon, Tyrion and Danny all died giving birth to them. (somebody fact check me if that's wrong). Coincidence?

I'm responding to this post on page 168.
I hate to be the ever-optimist, but what if the books are done?
Do you really think it took him 11 years between SoS and 4 and 5 which are really the same book, just broken up?
Perhaps he feels he needs the dunk and egg series to fill holes and better tell his stories?
Ill talk to y'all next week when I finish reading this most incredible thread.

Also very good.

God the Red Viper was such a great short-lived character, but like Ned Stark, his echo goes well through all the books. I was pumped that Tyrion was going down to Dorne to overthrow his father... But then it happened. Most intense chapter of any book I've ever read.

Another that stood out (language/ writing wise) was when Brienne and Pod come upon the hedge knights on the road, and the one relays the hardship of war and its effect on the small folk / resulting in rogue knights. Very powerfully written, IMO.
Also very good.

Here's something I searched for but haven't seen hardly any discussion of it:
Does anyone have any thoughts (or have seen anything written about) whether the fact that Jon was burned fighting the wight puts a crimp into the R+L=J theory? Danny seemed to go through fire unscathed and says dragons don't fear it. Or is the fact that Jon is half Stark the difference? (I think Danny's mother and father were both Targs).

GRRM made sure to say in an interview that all Targs aren't fire resistant

Also one (I can't keep track of them all) swallowed wildfire at one point to prove that he was a "dragon" and it consumed him as well. And he was a legit bred Targaryen.

I don't remember which one that was but he swallowed it thinking it would turn him into a legit dragon..... Crazy bastard
Aegon died at summerhall. While we're not exactly sure what happened there we know fire was involved.

Pretty sure it was Aerion Brightflame. The a-hole from the first Dunk and Egg tale.

I Googled (because it was driving me crazy) and you're correct. Same asshat that attacked the puppeteers.

We talked about this a couple weeks ago, and I linked to a thread on the westeros forum. I'm of the impression that it wasn't so much Targaryen immunity to fire that kept Daenerys from being burned as much as it was the blood magic she learned from MMD. Other places in the books it sounds like she's not so immune.

More evidence for PW in S3.
Wild Weddings. Red Wedding is obviously wild, and I'd hardly call Tyrion/Sansa wedding wild (it's depressing if anything). Gotta be PW
