Something about a bird in the hand and one in the bush. Things maybe looking good for Tyrion in the future but he was last seen jousting on a dog trying not to catch sea aids. Not so great. Dont really know how Dany will feel about adding a kinslayer and kingslayer to her crew. She is a bit paranoid about being betrayed these days.
She'll add him. She may be apprehensive, but Tyrion's knowledge would be absolutely indispensable if she were to retake the throne and train her dragons.

I agree it does seem likely. I think the Blackfyres are going to brick yet again. I believe based on the geography of things Dany and crew will be landing in the north and will probably bump into Jon. If there are only two more books I like Tommens chances of remaining in power. Too much going on up there. Folks may not survive winter.

You should reread dance then because the last time we saw Tyrion he had just wheeled and dealed his way out slavery while also cinching the allegiance of the second sons in the process.
As far as a Northern alliance goes I ask you this. What North? The north is battered broken and bloody already. What will be left once Stannis and the Boltons play out their feud? But if you absolutely need a northern tie how about a certain Ser Jorah Mormont? One of the last living knights of the north and the last living son to the once proud house Mormont. Until a Stark returns to winterfell there is no north. And even when a stark returns do you honestly think they side with Littlefinger? The man who betrayed Ned Stark and left him short by head?
Now sure Sansa's part in this story will give that line of thinking some pause but we've already seen her become more savvy in the ways of the world. She is better suited to play this game of thrones than any of the Starks and she is learning under one of the top three. It is only a matter of time before she figures out littlefinger is a lie (that's if she hasn't already done so). So she is a far cry from something solid for littlefinger to stand on.
Tyrion has a tie in with literally every major power on the board right now and they all like him (or have a reason to like him in the future)..... Minus Cersei of course.

Why would Dany land in the North? I'd say she'd most likely land in Dorne since that's in the south and a house that has already offered her some form of fealty.

Well, from what the reader knows, I'd say Tommen staying in power are literally zero. Tommen will die, as will Myrcella. Cersei will die last, with either Jaime or Tyrion finishing her off.

Very good point, but I'm thinking they may join briefly with Littlefinger until they find out that Rickon is alive. Littlefinger will then try to poison him or bribe a member of Ramsay Bolton's party to do it. Sansa will kill him over it before he is able to implement it. I don't expect Littlefinger to make it past the 6th novel.
And I love Jorah Mormont retaking control of Bear Island through Dany and perhaps finding someone else who actually loves the North that he could have to keep happy.

I believe Jon unites North when we find out why there always needs to be a Stark in Winterfell. The answer to that is in the Stark crypt. Believe they have some type of deal with the great Other.
I think the geography of where they are in Easteros makes the Iron Islands the shortest path to Westeros.

Landing in the north in the middle of winter is suicide. Especially considering the types of troops she will be commanding.

I'd like to know a longer path. The chances of Dany landing there are absolutely 0.

They want blood for what happened to Loras Tyrell
I think Loras Tyrell is fine, and going even further I'd be willing to bet Dragonstone is still under the control of Stannis. It was never attacked. Who gave Cersei the account of what happened? Aurane Waters. And he GTFO of King's Landing as soon as Cersei was locked up.
Olynna Tyrell is a major player in the Game of Thrones and I have no doubt the Tyrells have something big up their sleeves.

Just finished my re-read of ADWD, is there a possibilty that Arya's first kill as a Faceless Man in Westeros is her setting up Varys to use the crossbow against Kevan Lannister?

Has anyone seen these History and Lore of Westeros videos on youtube? They are narrated by the actors from the show. They are pretty cool, and nice little refreshers.

I'm confused on what you mean?
also, read an interestign theory on westeros re. the Hooded Man in Winterfell. Robett Glover. Deepwood Motte is safe. Manderly is at Winterfell. Robett Glover was involved in the war from the start...why would he idly sit by at White Harbor?

That's my thought as well. Something just didn't seem right when the news was given.

Is there anyone alive who knows Littlefinger promised Ned the Goldcloaks?

I like this theory.

Finished all 5 books. Now desperately waiting for WoW.
Couple thoughts
to all you crazy sobs for this awesome thread!
I don't think Sansa will avenge her family. The wedding will go awry. And she is not clever enough to get Littlefinger. Plus since Lady died I've been waiting for her to bite the dust. The Starks in the south and the kids without their direwolves are lost
And in then A+J=T. When Jamie goes to Riverrun to end the seige in FFC, doesn't Tyrion's aunt tell Jamie that Tyrion is his father's son more than Jamie is? Wouldn't she have known about an Aerys rape? That exchange, to me, killed the idea that Tyrion is a bastard

Finally someone agrees with me. No way she's clever enough to beat Petyr. I think Martin just wants us to think that she will outsmart him

she doesn't need to outsmart him to lure him for a kiss and then kick him out the moon door
